I found myself rushing back to Fix Price in search of something interesting to top off my New Year's home decor.

This year's garlands are a bit of a letdown, so I'm sticking with last year's. The fairy lights are cute, but I just can't bring myself to buy them.

Then my eyes landed on a completely unassuming corner with stickers. I bought these exact stickers last year, and they were awesome.

But this time, I spotted something new and had been dreaming of for ages – I just couldn't muster the courage to buy it.

This is the Light Catchers sticker, and it's even in a New Year's theme. I grabbed it and rushed to the checkout.

Appearance.

The packaging is standard – a cellophane bag with a cardboard insert, featuring six blister packs with stickers.

There's a picture on the insert showing how the stickers will look on the window and their shape.

It all looks very promising!

When I pulled out the blister packs from the packaging, I was initially confused. I thought the shapes of the stickers would be visible. But nope – each blister pack is a surprise.

You can only find out which sticker is in each blister pack as you go along.

How to apply Light Catchers to the window?

Oh, this is the simplest decoration that requires zero effort – except for one thing. You need to wash the window. And ideally, the outside part too. And yeah, nobody cares about the frost.

If you don't wash the window, the stickers won't stick properly from the inside, and the tiniest dust and rain droplets from the outside will ruin the whole sparkling effect.

So, go ahead and sing your heart out!

This was the fastest window-cleaning session of my life, if I'm being honest.

And that's it – the rest is a breeze.

Next up, we get to the fun part – peeling off the backing and revealing the actual designs. And let me tell you, it's a real treat. We've got snowflakes, little houses, trees, bears, and all sorts of other festive shapes.

Applying the stickers to the window is a breeze – just stick 'em on and they'll cling to the glass thanks to static electricity.

Voila – you're a winter wonderland!

The only real challenge here is making sure you've got an even spread of stickers – and they come in all shapes and sizes.

But don't worry – any sticker can be easily peeled off and reapplied to a new spot, and it'll still stick like a charm.

When we were putting them up, it was a pretty gloomy day, and the stickers just looked like a bunch of dull plastic on the window. But as soon as we turned on the evening lights, the whole scene changed.

The snowflakes, houses, trees, and bears all started sparkling and shimmering in every color of the rainbow.

It's just incredible.

And the next day, when the sun came out, the whole scene became even more magical and festive.

I have to say, I prefer this version to the usual white and opaque stickers because it doesn't overwhelm the window, doesn't block out the light, and just looks more festive, more fun, and more airy.

I have to say, the window decal looks like it was hand-painted by Santa himself.
