Baby Bath Solution Sun and Moon 0+ from Head to Toes with Calendula and Chamomile

I've tried a few baby bathing solutions, but Sun and Moon's 0+ formula really stands out. It's designed for newborns from head to toes, and the calendula and chamomile make bath time a whole lot easier. What I love most is the value for money - it's a great product that won't break the bank. Plus, it's super easy to use and the build quality is top-notch. I've been using it for a while now, and I'm really impressed with how well it works.

I'm a mom of two little ones, aged 4 and 1.5 years. Choosing baby products is a big deal for me, and today I want to share my thoughts on Sun and Moon 0+ Baby Wash from Calendula and Chamomile.
Let's dive in:
Brand: Sun and Moon
Manufacturer: Russia
Purpose: baby wash
Volume: 265ml
Price: 200-250 rubles
Where to buy: beauty stores, marketplaces
Packaging:
The packaging caught my eye on the store shelf - kudos to the marketing team for a job well done.
This is a compact bottle made of soft plastic. The design is in white and blue tones. The front features the brand name, age range 0+, and a cute fox. It's also stated that pediatricians recommend this product.
The back of the bottle has a sticker with essential information about the manufacturer, ingredients, and expiration dates.
Dosage:
The dosage system has a pump mechanism. It's very easy to press.
The nozzle has a tiny hole, and with one press, it dispenses just the right amount of product.I love that the pump has a switch to open and close it. It's super easy to move around without worrying about the gel spilling when you accidentally press the button.
ORGANOLEPTIC PROPERTIES
The color is completely transparent - no artificial dyes here (don't get too excited, it's got some surprises in store).
The scent is really subtle - it's got a light, herbal aroma that disappears quickly.
The consistency is super runny, it's like it's trying to escape from your hands!
FOAMING:
It doesn't foam up too much, but if you squeeze 2-3 doses onto a loofah, it starts to get foamy. Without a loofah, it's basically just a white, non-foamy gel.
But the good news is that it cleans up really well, even from thick sponges!
COMPOSITION:
I'm not exactly a fan of dissecting cosmetic ingredient lists, but this one's got me curious.
Aqua, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Magnesium Laureth Sulfate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Disodium Cocoamphodiacetate, Sodium Chloride, Cocamide DEA, Polyquaternium-7, Glycerin, Camomilla Recutita (Camomile) Flower Extract, Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract, DMDM Hydantoin, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone, Citric Acid, Parfum, 2-Na EDTA.
I have to give it to the manufacturer - they did include the ingredients on the label, but down at the bottom where it's hard to read. I had to squint to see it.
Since this product is designed for babies - not just any babies, but 0+ ones - I had to check the ingredients on the Ecoglyadatel website.
The website doesn't recommend it, of course!
I can understand if there were one or two questionable ingredients and the website would flag it. But what I found was a real shock...
To understand what I'm talking about, let me break down some of the ingredients on the Ecoglyadatel website.
Second and third ingredients - laureth sulfate sodium and magnesium laureth sulfateCauses skin irritation, dries out hair and skin. May contain toxic impurities, such as 1,4-dioxane (potential carcinogen). Pollutes the environment.
Cocamide DEAIs an allergen. Toxic. May be a carcinogen (limited evidence).
PolyquaterniumMay be toxic to the immune system. Is an allergen. May be a carcinogen.
Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone, DMDM HydantoinCauses allergic reactions. Toxic to the nervous system.
Toxic to the immune system. Pollutes the environment.
Sodium EDTAIncreases skin permeability. May cause skin irritation. Has low toxicity.
Eight ingredients that cause allergies, are toxic to the nervous and immune system? That's even too much for an adult product! What's the point of a 0+... product?
Usage:
After studying the ingredients, I knew I wouldn't be washing my kids with this stuff. The question was, what to do with it?
I decided to try it out on myself, see how my skin would react.
As I mentioned earlier, the product doesn't lather very well. Without a loofah, it doesn't lather at all. And I love it when there's a good lather.
I tested it on my wrist, and fortunately, there was no negative allergic reaction. I decided to leave it for washing adult hands. Of course, I won't be buying it for its intended purpose again.
Results:
Overall, the product looks decent. Almost no scent, no dyes, doesn't lather much. For kids, it seems like everything is okay... But with a composition like this, I wouldn't use it as an adult product.
Purchasing the Baby Bathing Product Sun and Moon 0+ from head to toe calendula and chamomile was a mistake. I strongly do not recommend it!
I hope you found this helpful!
