And here's the result.

I wiped down the rubber gasket and left the drum open.
The next day, I sniffed it again. No stale smell.
I ran a wash cycle with the clothes. And... Finally, the clothes don't smell bad either. Just fresh!
Deodorizing treatment was a success.
