CHOOSING WAS A CHALLENGE
As I mentioned, the comb was chosen by my youngest daughter. For me, it was a surprise that she finally settled on the Lavender scent.
Mini Aromatherapy Comb Solomeya with Lavender ScentAt first, she chose a strawberry scent, but she changed her mind after just 10 minutes. She explained it like this: 'I've got enough strawberry scents - lip gloss, strawberry-scented hair spray, and that's it for strawberry!'
Then she wanted a lemon-scented comb, but that wasn't the final decision either.
She didn't want to order the scent we chose (I chose a peach scent, my older daughter chose a jasmine scent) either!

EXPECTATIONS
We've had our fair share of lavender experiences, and the memories are still pleasant.
There was this lovely lavender-scented pillow that was meant to boost my mood and energy. The aroma was nice and invigorating! For me, lavender is all about feeling refreshed and revitalized.
We also had these lavender-scented cloth sachets that were designed to leave a subtle scent in our closet or dresser. They were a great idea, but I'm not sure if they really worked.
And then there was this beautiful lavender-filled textile doll we brought back from the beach. The smell was amazing, and it's still stuck in my head.
Now we have a laundry detergent with a lavender scent, and it smells fresh and delicate.
Lavender is a familiar and comforting scent for us, so we thought the Solomeya lavender comb would be a lovely addition to our routine.
REALITY
When we got our comb, we were initially disappointed.
Because the lavender scent on the Solomeya comb is actually really strong, overpowering, and not very pleasant.
The lavender scent was a letdown It was a total letdown, to be honest!
It reminded me of those strong-smelling mothballs – it's like they went overboard with the scent.
When I opened the comb, the smell hit me right in the face. It's way too strong for my liking!
The smell is way too strong and that's it My daughter was really looking forward to it, but her expectations weren't met. It's just one of those things.
The scent of the comb really put us off, but in all other aspects, the comb is super convenient and practical:

I've got to say something about the color!
Graphite, wet asphalt colorOn the marketplace website, the color is listed as black. And from the photos, it looks like it's black too. We were expecting and ready to see a black comb.
But! The comb isn't actually black at all.
Our opinion is that this comb has a graphite color - it's a really dark gray. You could also say it's the color of wet asphalt.
On some of the photos, you can see the original color.
It's easy to hold in your handAnd you know what? We actually think the graphite color is a plus! It's not just black, it's got some character.
Getting out of the situation
First things first, I calmed my daughter down. There's no need to worry or cry over something so small.
I'm not going to force her to use the comb, and to be honest, I'm not too keen on using it myself.
But I'm not going to throw it away either! We paid good money for it.
If it wasn't for the smell...After some thought, I had a brilliant idea. We'll put the comb in the linen closet - it's the perfect place for it.
We found a place for the strong lavender scentWhen we open the closet, there's no strong smell at all. But the lavender scent is still there. Great!
The smell is fine in the closetMaybe the strong smell will fade away over time, and we'll be able to use the comb as intended. 😁

Our verdict
We can't recommend the Solomeya comb for wet and dry hair with lavender scent due to its extremely strong smell.
For the same reason, we're taking away two stars! Despite finding a way to use the comb.
I've got to say, it's like that old joke phrase: 'We found the spoons, but the mess is still here!'
