I've been using these earplugs for my kids for a while now, and I'm really impressed with them, especially considering the super low price.
Earplugs have come a long way since the days of a piece of cotton wrapped around a matchstick. Now they're an essential item in every household, and even kid-friendly versions with a restrictor are available.
I bought these at the Detsky Mir store.

Interestingly, the original box had 60 earplugs, but the updated design added 4 more. However, the extra ones don't fit perfectly in the box.

I've gotten used to these earplugs, and I just cut the plastic cap from one side, which makes it easy to open and close. This way, I won't lose the cap, and I can store the box on a shelf.
All the earplugs are a pristine white and look super airy. They're made without chlorine bleaching, and there's no weird smell. Plus, they're all the same color.
You can notice that the wrapping isn't even all over the place - it's a bit messy right under that restrictor thingy.
These ear cleaning sticks are wrapped in a soft material, which makes them easy to hold in your hand. The propylene stick is sturdy enough, but not too rigid.
I remember using ear cleaning sticks from YSamaya. Those red propylene sticks would fold in half in my hand as soon as I gripped them a bit tighter.
The main purpose of the safety feature is to protect a child's ear from getting hurt. When I clean my own ears, I can control the force and depth, but it's harder with a child, especially when they're wriggling around while I'm cleaning their ears.
The stick is soft, and the safety feature isn't any harder than the tip of the stick. I've never had the stick come loose while cleaning my child's ears - I know I can get carried away with my own ear cleaning and the cotton swab might fall off, but that's never happened with these sticks.
The occasional imperfection in the wrapping isn't a big deal.
I can easily wipe away water from my child's ears after a bath - they absorb really well. But removing earwax from kids' ears can be tricky - I first moisten the stick with water and then wipe it dry, and that's much easier.
Young kids love imitating their parents, and I don't worry that my child will 'stick the stick in their ear' and 'poke the eardrum' - those were the exact phrases that scared me as a kid. The cleaning process happens inside the ear canal, not deep inside.
I'm super happy with these earplugs. They're soft and airy, perfect for kids. For 50p, I think they're a great value. I buy them at Detsky Mir, and I rarely see other brands with a limit, let alone at the supermarket near my house. The amount of lead is small, and I'd say it lasts for around 3-4 months.
