I have oily skin, so I've got a pretty extensive collection of powders. But I just couldn't resist adding this one to the mix. And now that I've had it for a while, I'm ready to share my honest opinion and let you know who might love it and who might want to steer clear.

Packaging.

The packaging for Shik's skincare products is pretty standard - a sleek, glossy plastic case. And I've got to say, I love the look of it. It feels high-quality and expensive. But, I've got a few products from this brand, and they all look identical. The only way to tell them apart is by looking at the label on the bottom of the case. Otherwise, I've got no complaints about the packaging.

The powder comes in three shades: Light, Medium, and Light Medium. I've got the Light shade, which is perfect for my fair skin.

For most people, I think the Light Medium shade will be a good fit, but if you're a bit darker, you might want to go for the Medium shade. Application and longevity.

I've got pretty oily, problem-prone skin, and I've found that a lot of powders can dry me out or accentuate my pores. Hourglass powders are finishing powders, so they don't really matte or set your tone - they just photo-shop and give your skin a subtle glow. Shik, on the other hand, does an amazing job of matting even my oily skin, setting my tone, and looking super natural on my face. Plus, it's got a pretty minimal blurring effect (unfortunately, I didn't notice any highlighting).

That's exactly what I love about Shik. That's why I'm obsessed with this powder and don't see myself giving it up anytime soon. Shik might not be as blurring, radiant, or sheer as Hourglass, but it's a total game-changer because it's not just a finishing powder - it's a standalone product. So, when it's hot outside or I know I won't be able to touch up my makeup for a while, I reach for Shik. Sure, my oily skin might not get enough matting from Shik on a super-hot day, but let's be real - Moscow's summers are rarely scorching for more than two weeks, so it's not a huge deal.

I'm also loving the compact size, the packaging design, and the built-in mirror. It's perfect for tossing into a small clutch and touching up your makeup on-the-go. Plus, it doesn't make my face look like a layered cake when I apply it.

Longevity depends on your skin type and the temperature. On my oily skin, it doesn't last long in the heat (even with the most matte powder, I start to shine after a few hours). But on a mild summer day or in the winter, it's a total winner (although I usually opt for Hourglass in the winter because I can only wear their powders for special occasions).

When I'm wearing it, the powder feels amazing - it doesn't sink into my pores, cake on my skin, or pull my skin taut. It's like it's not even there.

It doesn't clog my pores or cause breakouts. It doesn't dry out or pull my skin tight, either. In fact, I use it to set my concealer under my eyes, which is a major problem area for me - most products dry out or accentuate the texture, but Shik looks amazing and doesn't irritate my skin at all.

Removing it is a breeze.

So, as promised, I can tell you who this powder is perfect for and who might want to look elsewhere.

From my perspective, it's ideal for girls with normal and combination skin. It's also great for mature skin, as it really helps to even out your complexion. And if you're looking for a good powder without talc, this is a great option.

But if you have dry skin, you might want to look for something a bit lighter and more moisturizing.

And if you have oily skin, I'd recommend this powder, but only if you're not expecting it to be super long-lasting and don't mind touching it up throughout the day.
