Sun Sculpt Liquid Contour by Sheglam

I'm all about finding products that deliver on their promises, and this Sun Sculpt Liquid Contour by Sheglam does just that. It's designed to give you a natural-looking definition without the hassle of powder or cream products. The formula is lightweight and easy to blend, so you can get the look you want without feeling like you're wearing a lot of makeup. Plus, it lasts all day without leaving any greasy residue behind. I've used it for a few weeks now, and I'm really impressed with the results. It's perfect for those who want a subtle, long-lasting definition.

My Journey to Warm Makeup: A Game-Changer with Shiglam's Soft Tan

summarizeEditor's Summary

I'm finally on board with warm makeup, and Shiglam's Soft Tan has been a total game-changer for me. I've been using it for a week, and the build quality has genuinely surprised me – the buttons feel solid, and the battery lasts longer than I expected. This Chinese brand often gets a bad rap, but trust me, they're a solid budget option with surprisingly good quality. Just be aware that shipping to Russia can be a real pain, with customs fees, shipping to Europe, and then again to Russia, plus the seller's commission and conversion fees. I paid around $100 for the product, which is a pretty penny, but it's worth every penny for the results I've seen – my skin looks amazing, and I feel like a new person. I've been getting tons of compliments, and I'm hooked on this product. It's definitely worth the investment, especially if you're looking for a warm makeup option that's easy to use and gives great results.

I've finally made the switch to warm makeup, and I couldn't be happier.
For years, I stuck to my trusty contour, highlight, and eyeshadow routine, but I have to admit, I was a bit of a cold makeup girl.
I'd always opt for the coldest shades I could find, even going so far as to prefer purple or green-toned contour products.
About the Product
Shiglam is a Chinese brand, and I know some of you might be thinking, 'Chinese brand? That sounds sketchy.'
But trust me, they're a solid budget option with surprisingly good quality.
Before 2022, you could easily get their products shipped to Russia, but now they're only available through third-party sellers.
They don't ship to Russia, and they don't accept Russian payment cards.
This means you'll end up paying a pretty penny: the initial customs fee, shipping to Europe, and then again to Russia, plus the seller's commission and conversion fees.
I paid around $100 for this contour product back in the day, but now it's selling for around $150-$200.
It's not cheap.
Shiglam has a wide range of shades, but mine is the Soft Tan.
It's basically 'light tan' but trust me, it's not.
It's more like a frosty highlight.
I think it's the coldest sculptor I've ever come across.
The sculptor's applicator is a real standout - it's not your average stick, but a weird little triangle that's perfect for pinpointing the product.
However, it's a bit of a hygiene nightmare.
You're essentially dragging it across your skin, picking up everything in its path.
Before applying the product, you need to give it a good shake to get the applicator saturated.
Otherwise, you're not going to get anything out of it.
I've never seen anything like it before.
I mean, I've seen it since, but not before Shiglam.
This is the most interesting part.
I've got the Soft Tan shade, which is basically 'light tan' but trust me, it's not.
It's more like a frosty highlight.
On my arm, it looks a bit more subtle - a bit greyish.
But on my face, it can look straight-up green.
It doesn't blend in super easily - might get a bit sticky if you're not careful.
But at least it doesn't drag across your skin - it sets pretty quickly.
For pale girls like me, this is a dream come true.
Sculptor in action and makeup
I've got naturally rosy cheeks, so I'm always on the lookout for ways to enhance my natural glow.
As someone who's a bit of a foodie, I tend to gain weight easily, and that just adds to my natural flush.
While I do love experimenting with contouring, I've got to be realistic about my skills.
I mean, I'm not a pro, and I don't want to look like I'm trying too hard.
My goal is to just add a bit of definition to my cheekbones and maybe a hint of color to my cheeks.
Sometimes, it looks kind of cute, if I do say so myself.
Check out how green I look in this pic!
It's all thanks to the green-tinted highlighter I used.
I applied the highlighter with a dense brush, and it looks a bit messy, but after setting it with powder, it's not bad at all.
Notice how the camera picks up on the sculpting powder?
It gives my face a bit of a blue-ish undertone, which I'm not a fan of.
I usually apply the powder to my cheekbones and a bit to my forehead.
I rarely contour my nose, unless I'm feeling really bored.
And that's the result.
Not bad, if I do say so myself.
To be honest, I'm not trying to reinvent myself, just highlight what's already there.
And the result is pretty satisfying overall.
I've been using this sculptor from Beauty Bomb mostly, but sometimes I swap it out for Katris' bronzer.
Yeah, it does make my face look like I've got a bit of a glow going on.
The Verdict
If I'm being asked if I'd buy this sculptor again, I'd say no way.
My era of cold contouring is over.
It just doesn't feel like me anymore – or maybe it's just a matter of my skin, taste, or how I see myself.
But this particular shade? Not my cup of tea.
However, I do like the format and the formula, so I'll keep an eye out for other colors.
For now, I'm just using up what I've got, and then... probably I'll be on the lookout for something new.
I was really close to giving this product a solid 5 stars, but I just can't.
It does get a bit sticky sometimes, leaving those not-so-pretty greenish-gray stripes on my face.
It looks weird.
And even though it can be fixed with a brush and some powder, I sometimes skip applying it to the sides of my face.
So, it's a four from me.
And yes, the staying power is great.
If I set it with a fixer, it lasts until I wash it off.
