A Disappointing Experience with Shatura Furniture

summarizeEditor's Summary

I'm sharing my super disappointing experience with Shatura Furniture, a company that promised the world but delivered nothing but frustration. We paid a pretty penny for a modular bedroom set, but the delivery and assembly process was a total nightmare. The lack of communication and care for customers is shocking, especially for a big company like Shatura. The modular bedroom set was supposed to be a dream come true, but it turned out to be a total letdown. From the delayed delivery to the cash-only payment for assembly, every aspect of the experience was a hassle. If you're looking for a hassle-free furniture shopping experience, I'd recommend looking elsewhere. I'm not impressed with the value for money, shipping was slow, and the build quality was subpar. The customer support team was responsive, but only when we were paying. The modular design of the bedroom set is a great idea, but poorly executed. The wardrobes are spacious, but the doors are flimsy. The desk is sturdy, but the drawers are shallow. The portal above the bed is a nice touch, but it's not well-constructed. I'm not happy with the ease of use, and the return policy is unclear. We had to pay cash for assembly, which is ridiculous in this day and age. The communication with the customer support team was poor. The furniture was not assembled correctly, and we had to fix it ourselves. The modular design of the bedroom set is not well-thought-out. I'd avoid Shatura Furniture in the future.

Hello!
I'm not a fan of writing negative reviews, but I figured it's time to share my not-so-great experience with Shatura Furniture.
When a big company like Shatura doesn't deliver on their promises, it's super frustrating.
I paid a pretty penny for a modular bedroom set, and I expected it to arrive on time. But Shatura seemed to have other plans.
From my perspective, it feels like they just don't care about customers once they've got their money.
I've redacted the contract numbers and other personal details.
We paid over 265,000 rubles for a modular bedroom set (two wardrobes, a desk, and a portal above the bed) without delivery and assembly. Delivery and assembly were an extra 26,000 rubles paid in cash to the driver. Who still uses cash these days? It's really inconvenient.
The money was a lot for our family, and we paid for the furniture in installments (not a credit, just installments). We only planned to bring the furniture in once we'd paid for it. And while we were paying, our manager was always available, and I'd write or call to discuss promotions. We even had plans to buy more furniture for another room.
We went to the Zelenopark mall to pay the final installment and arrange for the furniture delivery. We didn't owe Shatura a thing. Our manager wasn't there, though – someone else was. They said they'd pass on the information and call us back on Friday to discuss delivery.
It's been a week, and nothing's happened. We've written to our manager, but of course, nobody's passed on any information. And our manager's suddenly 'forgotten' everything. The money's been taken, after all...
They scheduled the delivery for July 26 and assembly for the next day. And... nothing. I called the hotline in the evening, and they said they'd seen our payment from July 13 but had no information about the delivery. They promised to draft a complaint. And... nothing.
I called again, and this time I got a message in WhatsApp saying they'd drafted and sent the complaint.
Talk about it? Where's the furniture?
It's not right that I, as a customer, have to go to the specified address and wait, while Shatura promises delivery and doesn't even bother to respond.
One more thing that's bugged me – the WhatsApp notifications. Why not just use a regular SMS? My husband, who's the one the order's registered to, doesn't even use WhatsApp. He's got every right not to. We're waiting for a regular SMS, not some fancy WhatsApp message! Luckily, I've got WhatsApp and the number's listed as an alternative.
Another day, a few more calls, and I got the following message.
I finally got a response, but not in the way I expected.
I pressed the "call back" button and got this.
And, of course, silence. No one was going to call me back in 10 minutes. Three times I pressed the button - zero results.
Later, I got a WhatsApp message.
Hello! Your request number XXX has been resolved. Your order is ready, and we'll contact you by the end of the week to confirm the delivery date.
Naturally, no one contacted me.
I started leaving comments in the official Shatura Mebel channel, and finally, a date was set, and the furniture was delivered.
After a couple of weeks and a lot of stress.

The assembler was one person, and I have no complaints about him. He worked silently all day. There were some minor defects on the furniture - he honestly pointed them out. My husband and I decided that it was nothing serious, as the defects were not noticeable.
We ordered a "portal" above the bed, a table with a side shelf, and two wardrobes (with mirrors and without mirrors).
I remember asking for two rods in the wardrobe with mirrors. They are there, but using the wardrobe "as is" is complicated - the rod hangs at a distance from the child's or hobbit's clothes. Even clothes size 44-46 don't fit, not to mention men's clothes. And there's space at the top. Now I'm asking my husband to rehang all these rods, but for now, my hands don't reach.
upper rod - all clothes get wrinkled
Lower bar is at a good distance from the floor
I wish they'd removed or shortened the top shelf. Then my clothes would hang properly. As it is, everything's all bunched up.
The bar in my closet came crashing down. My clothes just hang there, I don't even bother to pull them out (they're special occasion stuff, I only use them rarely). My husband put the bar back in place.
----
We've been using the furniture for six months now. I like it, but it's not without its issues.
The build quality is pretty good, but there are some minor defects that need to be addressed. The shelves need to be adjusted, the railings need to be raised, and some other things need fixing.
I'd give the furniture 4 out of 5.
But the customer service? It's a total disaster. Maybe they've fixed some things since then, but my experience was really negative.
1 out of 5, and that's only because they responded to my post on VK.
So, think carefully before ordering. Unless you're not in a hurry and don't expect any decent customer service.
Thanks for reading!
