I was at my mom's place, and we were shopping for gifts for everyone. I just couldn't resist the perfume after testing it out, and I ended up getting one for myself too. Since I didn't want to carry too much, I threw away the box, but you can check out what it looks like on the collage below. The design is pretty cool, with Shakira's photos on the sides.

But the real showstopper is the bottle itself. I think it's supposed to be a figure of Shakira, correct me if I'm wrong. Either way, it looks super cool.

And the glass is colored to resemble a semi-transparent dress with sequins – you can tell the scent is going to be amazing.

Dance Midnight Perfume by ShakiraI think there's only one version of this perfume available, in a 50ml size. I'm guessing they didn't want to make the bottle in different sizes, as it might be too expensive.

For me, 50ml is usually enough to last a long time, as I usually use two spritzes on my body.

What really stood out to me was the transparent sections at the bottom where you can see how much perfume you've got left. I'm one of those people who likes to squeeze every last drop out of a product, so that's a feature that resonates with me. On the other hand, the cap for this bottle felt a bit too basic – like they were running out of ideas or money to invest in the design. But hey, the perfume is budget-friendly, so I'm willing to forgive it that. The spray nozzle is standard, but it gets the job done – it's easy to press and doesn't get clogged. xa0

What really impressed me was how well the spray nozzle dispersed the fragrance. It doesn't come out in a thick stream, but instead breaks up into smaller droplets that allow for a more even application.

Even from the bottle itself, I got the sense that this was going to be a very feminine, evening, and intimate fragrance – and that's exactly what it turned out to be. xa0

Top notes: Pink pepper, Quince, Blackcurrant, and Bergamot

I was hit with the scent of pink pepper from the get-go, but then the sweet notes of honey apple (it's like it's been baked) and sweet bilberry start to shine through. I'm still not sure about the bergamot though.

It's sweet, but not cloying – I'd even say it's harmonious. I love the start, the pepper doesn't hit you over the head, it just adds a nice depth.

The middle notes are Tuberose, Jasmine Sambac, Licorice and Lily of the valley

The heart of the scent is floral, and what I'm getting most is tuberose, but I think the jasmine and lily of the valley are there too. I'm not getting much licorice, which is actually a good thing If I hadn't tried this scent in person and was searching for it online, I probably wouldn't have ordered it because of the licorice.

The heart of the scent is incredibly beautiful, the flowers are delicate, powdery, and slightly creamy.

The base notes are Oatmeal-chocolate cream, Vanilla, Tonka beans and Benzoin

In the base, I'm getting vanilla and oatmeal-chocolate cream – that second one is a total winner I love this note, and it even lingers in the drydown, which is super pretty

I especially love that the notes are sweet, but not heavy or overwhelming.

I've got to say, the scent of this Shakira fragrance is eerily reminiscent of Good Girl by Carolina Herrera. It's not a carbon copy, not even the pyramid is the same, but it's got a similar feel to it. So, if you like Good Girl, I'd definitely recommend checking out Shakira Dance Midnight.

SHAKIRA Dance Midnight similar to Good Girl Carolina Herrera For me, Dance Midnight is the scent of a sassy woman. It's passionate, seductive, but also sensual, and its femininity wraps you up and demands attention. At the same time, it's not loud, it's got a quiet confidence. I can see this scent working on both young girls and mature women. To be honest, I associate this scent with Shakira herself.

For me, this is a fall-winter scent, it's too sweet and heavy for summer. And I experience this scent as evening, although I wear it most often during the day. The dry down is incredible, like a chocolate-hazelnut spread I've even had people ask me why I smell like Nutella So, I guess that's a good thing!

As for longevity, I've seen mixed reviews, but on me, the scent lasts all day. Even washing my hands doesn't always get rid of the perfume on my wrists.
