Hello everyone! I've been using Sendo toners for a few years now, and I've gotta say, they've never let me down.
These toners are pretty great products with different directions of action, mainly aimed at reducing age-related changes. One of the perks of the toner is its availability and variety. I buy it at FixPrice, where I can find a ton of toners from the brand for pennies on the dollar. There are a ton of them, and I still haven't tried all types of toners yet. But with each purchase, the untested varieties are dwindling.
So, this time I decided to get the 'all skin types ultra hydrating' toner. It doesn't just hydrate the skin, but also contains elements that help to rejuvenate it. That's exactly why I bought it.
I'm 35+, so I try to take good care of my skin and keep it looking young.
It's clear that the toner doesn't do much on its own, but it can still contribute to maintaining youthfulness alongside other products. So, better with it than without it.
At this point, the toner is almost gone, and I've had a chance to really evaluate it. I'll say straight out that I liked the toner and it worked well for me, but as always, there are a lot of nuances to discuss. But first, let's talk about the product itself.
Sendo Hyaluronic Acid and Aloe Vera Toner
The product comes in a clear, flexible plastic bottle. All toners in the series have similar packaging, but each type has its own unique design. One thing they all have in common is a Korean-style design, a thick handle, and very bright colors. But each toner has its own colors. For the 'Hyaluronic Acid and Aloe Vera' toner, the main colors are blue and pink.
Korea's a powerhouse when it comes to skincare production, but the toner's manufacturer is actually from Russia – go figure!
The toner's packaging is actually pretty fun – I love the little cat face on the front of the bottle.The bottle itself is sold bare, so you can see the contents right away. The reverse side of the label has all the info you need about the product, including the manufacturer's promises, a breakdown of the active ingredients, usage instructions, composition, and safety precautions.
The active ingredients are: Hyaluronic acid and panthenol, aloe extract, and laminaria extract.I'm a big fan of all the ingredients – they've got hydrating agents that moisturize and prevent aging, as well as healing and regenerative properties.
Here's the full breakdown: as you'd expect, there are some preservatives in there, but for a budget-friendly product, that's just par for the course.
The product's price is a fixed 70 rubles for 250 ml, which is definitely a good value. But, in reality, the price can go up to 500 rubles on marketplaces – so, it's not as cheap as it seems.
The packaging's design and informative content are top-notch, but there are some downsides, too. The lid of the toner isn't perfect. The dropper doesn't have protection against initial use and the hole is pretty small, making it uncomfortable to dose the toner as it pours out in small amounts.The lid opens easily and closes tightly. In theory, it could break, but I've never had that happen to me.
The toner is extremely liquid, but slightly thicker than water. It's more similar in consistency to a soap or salt solution. When you shake it, a small amount of foam appears on the surface, which quickly settles.The color of the toner is really beautiful. It's almost transparent with a bright, warm blue hue.
The product lasts for a pretty long time - almost a whole month. It doesn't use up as much as the Sendo face wash gel, which I can use for up to six months, but it still lasts a while.Now, let's talk about the characteristics of the toner and the results of using it.
Usage and results
The scent of the toner is really pleasant - I liked it! But it might not be to everyone's taste, as it's quite strong and pungent. The smell is sweet, with a strong rose fragrance and a hint of diluted soap.
The aroma is noticeable when you apply it to your skin, but it quickly dissipates and disappears.
Since I don't like the dropper on these toners - it's too narrow - I usually unscrew the lid and dose from the neck.
With a single swipe, the cotton pad gets just the right amount of moisture to apply toner all over my face.
The cotton pad stays damp after applying toner, which means I get to use it efficiently.
The toner absorbs nicely into my skin. Even when I apply it in large amounts, I can feel the moisture for a bit, but it quickly dissipates.After it absorbs, my skin is left feeling smooth and residue-free.
Before applying toner, I make sure to cleanse my face with a gel from the same brand.
Right after using it, my skin feels fresh, light, and hydrated. I can feel the softness, and there's no sense of tightness or dryness. Plus, the toner helps to remove excess oil and clean my skin of impurities.Oil control is a big deal for me, since I have problematic skin. Overall, the toner doesn't affect this issue one way or the other.
Now, let's take a closer look at the results of using this toner over a longer period.
🌹 Impact on skin hydration
The toner really delivers when it comes to hydration. I've noticed a big difference in my skin's water balance, even after just one use. It's a game-changer compared to other toners that tend to dry out my skin.
After a week of using it, I've seen some amazing results, especially when combined with other products. Don't get me wrong, it's not a magic solution for dry skin, but it's definitely a lifesaver. I'd say it's a must-have for anyone struggling with dry skin.
Anti-Aging Benefits
I won't say it's a miracle worker, but it does help maintain the progress I've made with other anti-aging products. The toner's hydrating properties really help reduce the appearance of fine lines, making it a great addition to my skincare routine.
If you're looking for a toner with anti-aging benefits, this one's a great choice. It's not just about hydration, it's about giving your skin a boost of youthfulness.
Cleansing and Oil Control
I've mentioned it before, but the toner does a decent job of cleansing my skin. It's not its strongest suit, but it does help reduce inflammation and acne. However, there are other toners on the market that are way better at cleaning my skin.
That being said, it does help soothe acne and redness, thanks to the presence of panthenol. It's not a miracle worker, but it's a nice bonus.
Side Effects
I'm happy to report that I haven't experienced any side effects. Despite the presence of some potentially irritating ingredients, my skin has reacted well to the toner. No redness, itching, or breakouts to speak of.
It's worth noting that I've had no issues with allergic reactions or sensitivity.
Pros and Cons:
✅ Affordable;
✅ Excellent hydrator;
✅ Nice packaging;
✅ Helps with anti-aging;
✅ Cleanses the skin;
✅ The scent is pleasant.
⛔ I don't like that it contains preservatives.
⛔ There's no protection against primary use;
⛔ The dispenser is a bit uncomfortable.
Takeaway:
It's a great option for those with dry skin, but it's also suitable for other skin types. The toner helps maintain youthful appearance (when combined with other products), moisturizes, and cleanses without causing any harm.
