I'm thrilled to share my incredible experience with Selank, a medication that's genuinely changed my life for the better.
I've been struggling with anxiety, fatigue, depression, and tearfulness for a long time, and I've been putting off going to the doctor because I just didn't have the energy to deal with it. That's when I came across an ad for Selank online and read some reviews on Irecommend. I decided to give it a try since it's an over-the-counter medication.
Selank contains a peptide complex that helps improve the functions of the nervous system and reduces stress on the body. It's a clear, colorless liquid that's designed for intranasal use - you simply squirt it into your nostrils. This medication is used to improve memory and concentration, reduce anxiety, and eliminate depressive states. It's only used under the guidance of a doctor.
I was surprised by the format of the medication, to be honest. And I'll explain why below.
Where I bought it was the pharmacy closest to my home.
The price was 630 rubles, which is pretty pricey, if you ask me.
One 3ml bottle is a lot of liquid for your money - it's basically 200 rubles per milliliter. I guess you could try to find it cheaper elsewhere, but it's still pretty expensive.
I just kept it on my table in its original box. I didn't store it in the fridge.
The packaging is a cardboard box with a white and green design.

The dropper is also super small.

Now all you need to do is connect the dropper to the bottle, and it's ready to use.

The main active ingredient is an analog of a peptide that our body produces. When its production drops, our nerves start acting up. That's my simplified explanation of how the medication works.
The pharmacotherapeutic group is anxiolytic medication, or a tranquilizer.
I'm glad this product can be bought without a prescription, so it's relatively safe to use as a tranquilizer.
Looking at the list of indications, I think this product is right for me:
Treacherous states:
• Unmotivated anxiety, worry;
• Panic attacks;
• Neurosis;
• Asthenia;
• Mood instability;
• Sleep disturbances;
• Decreased willpower, initiative, indecisiveness, difficulty making decisions, self-doubt;
• Communication uncertainty;
• Adaptation disorders;
Stress disorder prevention and treatment
This one's a personal experience - the lack of willpower is something I can definitely relate to. The product's contraindications include pregnancy and lactation periods, as well as children under 18 years old. But I've read reviews where kids in their teenage years have been prescribed Selank and it actually helped them.
The method of application is 2 drops in each nostril, 3 times a day. The course duration is 14 days. If needed, the treatment course can be repeated after 1-3 weeks, with a doctor's consultation.
I took 1 drop, 3 times a day. Since I prescribed it to myself, I decided not to overdo it.
I've found that Selank is a clear, odorless liquid that doesn't irritate the mucous membranes when you drip it into your nose. I've been using it sparingly, just a tiny drop at a time, because if I use too much, it tends to run down the back of my throat, which isn't ideal. But even with that in mind, I was surprised to find that one 3ml bottle lasted me 12 whole days! That's a pretty long time, and it's definitely a cost-effective option, especially considering some people only get 5 days out of a 3ml bottle. So, in theory, you could stretch it out to almost two weeks if you're careful. However, I do think it's worth noting that dipping the dropper into the solution three times a day, and then sticking it back into your nose, isn't exactly the most hygienic practice. Even if you rinse your nose before using the dropper, there's still a risk of getting some of the mucus into the solution. To avoid that, I've started storing the bottle in the fridge and rinsing the dropper after each use. It's actually a pretty simple solution: just close the bottle with the regular cap, rinse the dropper, and store it separately. I'll be doing that with my next bottle for sure.
As for how it's affected me, I have to say that Selank is definitely working, and it's working fast. First of all, my sleep has normalized. I've always had trouble falling asleep, and I'd often wake up in the middle of the night and then have trouble falling back asleep. But since using Selank, I've been able to fall asleep within 10-15 minutes of going to bed, which is a huge deal for me.
Secondly, my overall state of mind has become more calm and peaceful, but it's not a complete transformation yet. In critical moments, I still get anxious and worried, and I'd love to be one of those people who can just shrug off stress and anxiety.
For me, there are three downsides to using Selank:
The packaging isn't exactly sanitary.
The short usage period is another issue - two weeks just isn't enough for my nervous system to recover. I'd use the product for at least a month if I could.
The short shelf life after opening is just 15 days. So, if I open a bottle, I have to use it all up within two weeks or toss the whole thing if the expiration date has passed. And it's pricey.
On the plus side:
I can buy it without a prescription.
it's relatively safe with minimal side effects.
and it works fast:
With a bioavailability of 92.8% when administered through the nasal mucosa, Selanka is absorbed quickly. It's in the bloodstream within 30 seconds and then distributed to various organs and tissues. It even penetrates the brain tissues. The concentration in the bloodstream decreases gradually over 5-5.5 minutes. And in the urine, neither the original compound nor its metabolites are detectable, likely due to the compound's rapid degradation by tissue peptidases.
So, nasal sprays have both pros and cons. I liked the product and will keep it in mind for future purchases. I'd definitely recommend it.
