How to Score Half-Price Train Tickets with Sber Spasibo Rewards
Hello everyone!
Sberbank's app has become a lifesaver for many Russians.
With Sberbank Online, you can manage your finances from your smartphone - transfers, utility payments, loans, and deposits are all available in the new version.
I'm excited to share my thoughts on this app and its awesome bonus program, specifically the 'Spasibo' points from Sberbank.
Sberbank-Online is a super convenient app that lets me easily track my expenses, income, and spending across various categories.
It's helped me stay on top of my finances, reminding me to be more mindful of my spending and plan for the future.
I'm not going to repeat everything that's been said about this app, but I do want to add something about its bonus program.
Specifically, I want to talk about the 'Spasibo' points from Sberbank!
As you can see, I currently have 34 points, and that's because I used them all up three days ago.
Another great thing about this bonus program is that you can choose how to redeem your points by category.
So, what are these 'Spasibo' points from Sberbank, anyway?
They're essentially a nice bonus for using their services.
I loved using my bonus points until they were gone!
I used them to pay bills, in stores, and everywhere else, and I was thrilled to be saving money.
But then, out of the blue, about two years ago, the number of places where I could use them just plummeted!
I was checking the Sberbank app, and they had a long list of places where I could supposedly use my points, but they were all unknown locations - I'd never even heard of them!
So, I just forgot about my bonus points, since there were no places to use them.
But then, just a few days ago, I got a notification from Sberbank that my 'Spasibo' points were about to expire.
And they were being super urgent about it, telling me I had to use them ASAP!
Like, just yesterday!
So, what's a girl to do?
I had 520 points, which was equivalent to 520 rubles, and I wasn't about to let that go to waste!
So, I started digging through the app, looking for any place I could use my points, and voila - I found out I could use them to buy train tickets!
And guess what? I was planning a trip, and I really needed those tickets!
Oh, I thought, great! I'll just use my points to buy the tickets, and save some money!
So, how do you buy train tickets using your Sberbank 'Spasibo' points?
It's super easy!
First, I head to Sberbank Online;then, I click on the 'Thank You from Sberbank' bonus program;next, I click on 'Where to spend my Thank You bonus points';and there, I find 'tickets';and right from the ticket counter, I click 'Buy ticket';and then, the familiar purchase form opens, with all the usual fields - name, surname, patronymic, passport, and so on...The key is to enter your bonus card number for the Russian Railways Bonus Program!
(You can find it in your RZD app)
(Make sure to download the official one)
As you can see, I had 520 bonus points 'Thank You' on my Bonus Program account:
To spend them, you need to tick the box next to the field -
'SUBTRACT THANK YOU BONUS POINTS' when booking a ticket:
And voila - the points are deducted from the ticket cost!
Then, we fill in all the usual fields, just like when buying any air or rail tickets on our smartphone, the only difference being that this time we're buying tickets directly from the Sberbank app, using our Thank You bonus points:
And that's it - the bonus points are deducted, the ticket is booked, and we receive a confirmation SMS with the number 900:
I'm stoked that we finally got our hands on the maximum discount ticket after using up all our accumulated bonus points!
Mission accomplished!
As a bonus, I've got some more useful and interesting stuff to share about the Sberbank-Online app.
I think it's safe to say that in today's world, the possibility of earning passive income is on everyone's mind - not just in our country, but all around the world!
So, how do you get paid without doing anything?
Can you really get paid without lifting a finger?
Of course, you can - with Sberbank's deposit accounts!
Just navigate to the 'Services' tab...
...then 'Deposits and Accounts'...
And there you'll find the most attractive and up-to-date offers from Sberbank.
Right now, the interest rates are particularly enticing!
I've got to mention another thing that's been bugging me - the 'Mobile Bank' service. For some reason, bank staff love to enable it by default when you apply for a card, and then you're left wondering why you're being charged a decent amount each month for a service you don't even use. But the good news is that it's super easy to disable, and you don't even need to go to the bank to do it:
You can block the 'Mobile Bank' service by calling the contact center at 8-800-555-555-0 or by sending an SMS to 900 with the text 'БЛОКИРОВКАУСЛУГ'.
I'm really happy with the app, and I'd give it a full 5 stars. If you use it wisely, it's a great tool!
I hope my review has been helpful.
Wishing you all a great mood, new experiences, and safe shopping!
