I've got a bunch of free keychains from Sanlight stores that I've collected over time, and I've gotta say, their quality is pretty subpar. They start to fall apart after a few wears, and the top layer peels off. I do like the gold-plated ones, though - they're pretty durable, so I usually opt for those.
Just last week, I went to Sanlight to grab a kids' keychain that's only available with a promo code from an educational platform. Unfortunately, they were out of stock. But the app did highlight some new keychains, and I really liked the horse one - maybe I'll get it later.Next to the horse keychain was another one on a really cool chain. The weaving reminded me of the tags on silver chains with beads that you'd find on old clothes.
I couldn't resist getting the whole set, which included a horseshoe keychain.
The keychain came in a red cotton pouch with the brand's logo on it.
The keychain itself is pretty interesting and original.
The item code is R0217-POW-01, which you can see on the transparent packaging.
It's got a nice pattern and three small stones. The keychain is smooth and well-made.
The stones are securely attached.
The back side is completely smooth, with no bumps or ridges. It looks like rose gold.
The loop is pretty big, but honestly, I don't think a chain is necessary - most things will fit just fine.
The mini charm is tiny but really cute. For a freebie, it's a great option.
But there's one major downside - the finish.
The gold-plated chain on this Sanlight necklace is done in a yellow gold tone, and unfortunately, it's not my favorite. At first, I wanted to swap out the chain for a different one, but they all had the same tone.
The horseshoe is done in a rose gold tone, which looks really nice against the chain. In good lighting, you can see that the charm and chain aren't the same color. For comparison, I've attached a photo of the clasp and horseshoe. I wish I'd seen this at the store, but at home, I was a bit disappointed. I probably should have gone with the horse...
