Hey guys, my first review of 2026 is all about this super cool novelty from my favorite Fix Price: the sandy nightlight, or as it's properly called, the 'Sandy Picture LED Nightlight'.
I couldn't resist buying it for myself - it looks so unique with the movable sand. The price in Fix Price is 499 rubles. By the way, when I was writing this review, I found similar nightlights, but they were way over a thousand rubles. So, Fix Price is still the king of affordable and cool stuff.
Here's what the box looks like:

Smooth color transition. In reality, the color changes are quite fastHere's what the nightlight looks like in its assembled state:
Design...The nightlight works from three AAA batteries. In essence, the entire nightlight consists of a plastic base and a round double-glazed glass 'bubble' that's easily removable from the base.LEDs changing colorBetween the glass layers is a beautiful blue sand with golden inclusions, floating in a gel.
Without backlightGolden sand inclusionsThe backlight is turned on by a button on the base.
And here's the thing: the button is capacitive, not mechanical. So, all you need to do is lightly touch it, and the backlight turns on. I was trying to press the button with all my might at first, and it didn't work. I thought the button was broken. It turned out that all I needed was a light touch.
Blue backlightThe colors change, and there are 7 colors in total:
Greenish hueTo turn off the backlight, you need to press the button through the entire spectrum of seven colors, and on the eighth press, the backlight turns off.I immediately noticed a drawback: as soon as the backlight turned on, scratches on the glass became visible:
Scratches on the glass, visible when turning on the backlightAlthough I bought it in a packaged box, and the glass part was wrapped in a protective film, there were scratches on the glass. They slightly mar the appearance, but if you turn off the backlight, the scratches are invisible. In general, check the glass part of the lamp for scratches before buying. The main effect of the sandy lamp is that you can turn the glass 'pancake' with sand over and over, and each time, a stunningly beautiful sandy landscape will form:
Forming a new patternThe resulting landscapes are very beautifulYou can just sit there and get stuck on the beautiful sight, watching as the sand grains slowly come together to form bizarre sand dunes and dunes:A new, unique sandy dune landscape forms in just a minuteThe sand grains sink slowly due to the liquid gel between the glasses. The air bubbles, by the way, are not a defect - they're necessary to move the heavy sand. You sit there, turn the disk, and watch the meditatively beautiful picture of creating a unique sandy landscape...
This is a very beautiful lamp, interesting and visually appealing. And as a gift, and just for decoration.

Ugh, what a terrible store. Dirt, stench, sanitation issues. Products - questionable. What's even worth buying in bulk?
Chocolate milk paste from Magnit - looks nice, but tastes very weakly like chocolate paste
Pitahaya - such a weird thing. I still can't decide if I liked the taste or not.
I just didn't like these candies, even though Babayevskaya Factory is considered one of the best confectionery manufacturers in Russia. The filling techs messed up, and the result was pretty mediocre...
I'm obsessed! The dark chocolate marzipan is a total winner - it's got a rich, deep almond flavor that's spot on.
