Blitz Canned Complete Kitten Food, Turkey Giblets in Sauce

My kitten goes wild for this canned cat food from Blitz - the tender chunks in a savory turkey giblets sauce are a total hit. I'm loving the value for money here, it's affordable without sacrificing quality. I've been feeding it to my little furball for a while now, and I'm really impressed with the build quality and how easy it is to serve. The balanced diet and high-quality ingredients are a big plus, and it's no surprise it's a popular choice among cat owners. I've tried a few different options, but this one's become a go-to meal for my kitten. I've been using it for a while, and I'm happy to recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable kitten food.

My Honest Review of Royal Canin Blitz for Kittens

summarizeEditor's Summary

I was skeptical about switching to a new cat food, but Royal Canin's Blitz for Kittens has been a pleasant surprise. My cat, who's notoriously finicky, gobbles it up in seconds. The sauce-based formula is a hit with her, and I appreciate the fact that it's not gel-based. However, the price point is steep, especially considering the value for money. After a month of feeding her this food, I can confidently say that it's worth every penny for her health and happiness. But, I gotta say, the packaging could be improved – it's not the most eco-friendly option out there. I'm impressed with the build quality and ease of use, but I'd love to see some changes in the customer support department. One thing that's really stood out to me is the high-quality protein content – my cat loves it, and I can see the difference in her coat and energy levels. I've also noticed that the packaging is sturdy, which is a plus. On the downside, the return policy can be a bit tricky to navigate, and shipping can be slow if you're on the other side of the country. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase, but I'd like to see some improvements in the future.

My Honest Review of Royal Canin Blitz for Kittens
About a month ago, I said I'd never buy wet cat food again because my cat wouldn't eat it. I mean, we thought we'd solved the cat food issue by buying meat and making portion-controlled meals in the freezer, plus having dry food always available. My cat even started eating the dry food, and we thought that's how we'd feed her - meat in the morning and dry food the rest of the day. This went on for a week or two, but then my cat got bored and stopped eating the meat from the freezer. We tried chicken, pork hearts, beef liver, and even fish, but she didn't like it.
So, I decided to give her another chance with a new food that she'd like. This time, I took a chance on a dry food for kittens, Royal Canin's Blitz, and a few more expensive wet foods, including this one, Conservatively Formulated Wet Cat Food for Kittens, 'Turkey with Giblets' in Sauce, Blitz.
I have to admit, feeding my cat meat is cheaper, but I was willing to try this food because it's not in a gel, but in a sauce. My cat hates gel-based foods, and this Blitz food has small pieces in a light broth, with very little liquid, so it's a nice change of pace.
The pieces are all the same size and look like soy-based meat to me. The weight of the food in the packet is 85 grams, and the production is from Russia. All the information, including nutritional value, is on the back of the packet.
According to the packet, my cat needs three and a half to four packets of this food per day. But reading articles online, some people say that wet food shouldn't be the main staple of a cat's diet. I give my cat a small amount of wet food, meat, or dry food once a day in the morning. I don't give her the whole packet at once, or the food would dry out by evening.
One reason I decided to try this food was that it's not in a gel, but in a sauce. My cat spent the whole day home alone and ate all her dry food, but didn't touch the other wet food. She hadn't had any meat, so when I opened the packet with the Blitz food, she was very motivated to eat it. She didn't even let me take a good photo.
I had to literally take it away from her and then chase her around the table for 30 minutes, trying to get her to leave it alone. Now, I'm not going to lie, my cat's a bit finicky, but I don't want to lower the rating of this food because of that.
This food has some good points:
The composition has a good amount of meat and by-products. I'm glad they put this information on the packet, too - some expensive foods don't even have this info.Various vitamins and microelements in the composition.Even, soft pieces that are easy for my kitten to chew.If my cat would agree to eat this food consistently, I'd consider it as a secondary food or a treat. But as the main food for my cat, I wouldn't choose it - it's too expensive and I can find foods with more protein, less fat, and even cheaper or for the same price.
