Round Lab Camellia Deep Collagen Firming Cream

I've tried a bunch of moisturizers, but Round Lab's Camellia Deep Collagen Firming Cream really delivers. It's like a drink of water for my dry skin - the camellia oil and collagen work together to plump and firm my complexion, reducing fine lines and wrinkles. I've noticed a big difference after using it for a week or so. The camellia oil and collagen blend provides long-lasting hydration, leaving my skin feeling smooth and looking more radiant. It's perfect for anyone looking for a reliable moisturizer that won't break the bank, and I've found it to be a great value for money.

ROUND LAB's Camellia Cream: A Texture Game-Changer for Anti-Aging

summarizeEditor's Summary

ROUND LAB's Camellia Cream is a total game-changer for anyone looking to combat the first signs of aging. The unique texture is a standout feature, and it's honestly unlike anything I've tried before. It's got a rich, luxurious feel that's just divine. But what really impresses me is the way it intensely moisturizes and restores my skin's hydro-lipid balance. It's a total value for money, if you ask me. The packaging is eye-catching, with a bright red disc-shaped bottle that's sure to turn heads. The manufacturing date and expiration date are clearly printed on the bottom of the bottle, which is a nice touch. But like any product, it's not without its flaws. I've found that the price is a bit steep, considering the packaging is just a small cardboard box. The bottle can be a bit tricky to open, especially if you have arthritis or other dexterity issues. The expiration date is reduced once you open the product, which can be a bit of a hassle. The packaging could be more eco-friendly - a plastic wrap or protective sticker would be a nice touch. It can be a bit greasy, especially if you have oily skin. The lack of clear instructions on how to use it can be a bit confusing. Despite these drawbacks, I'd still highly recommend ROUND LAB's Camellia Cream to anyone looking for a rich, luxurious moisturizer.

ROUND LAB's Camellia Cream: A Texture Game-Changer for Anti-Aging
Last year, ROUND LAB released a few new skincare lines, and the products with camellia are part of their anti-age line.
The ROUND LAB Camellia Deep Collagen Firming Cream is a part of this line, and it's designed to combat the first signs of aging, prevent ptosis, reduce fine lines and wrinkles, and intensely moisturize and restore the hydro-lipid balance.
The cream comes in a small cardboard box, which is a bit odd considering the price, as there's no plastic wrap or protective sticker on the packaging to ensure the contents haven't been tampered with.
The bottle is a disc-shaped, heavy, opaque plastic in a bright red color, and the design is eye-catching. There's minimal text on the exterior of the bottle in a mix of English and Korean.
I was surprised to see that the information on the back was in English, while the Russian information was on the cardboard box.
The manufacturing date and expiration date were printed on the bottom of the bottle, and it's got a shelf life of 3 years, but only if the packaging remains intact.
After opening, the expiration date is reduced to 12 months.
I'm not a fan of wide-mouth bottles like this, as I don't think it's very hygienic to get the product out of it.
The bottle had an additional plastic lid to keep the texture and properties of the product intact.
One thing I liked was the included scoop, making it easy to get the right amount of cream. But, let's be real, I'm a lazy person, so I often just grab the cream with my fingers when I'm in a rush.
The product contains four types of collagen, which brings back the elasticity to the skin, smoothes out fine lines. Camellia extract is a fantastic antioxidant that helps keep moisture in the cells.
Granactive retinoid is the holy grail of skincare ingredients, a gentle yet effective retinol alternative. A mix of plant extracts and peptides makes the skin look supple and radiant.
The consistency of the product is truly unique. I've never used a product with such a texture before.
The cream's color is semi-transparent. Its texture is thick and dense, yet gel-like. It contains a high amount of transparent granules.
When you apply the cream, the granules break down on the skin and nourish it with beneficial micro-elements.
The scent is nonexistent, which is a definite plus, especially if you have allergies.
The usage is extremely economical. The gel, despite its lightness, is very nourishing, so you don't need to use a lot of it.
After cleansing, toning, and applying serum, I apply the cream to my face and spread it evenly.
My skin is oily, prone to occasional breakouts.
The product contains retinol - when using it, I need to apply SPF. Especially if I apply the gel in the morning, I need to 'cover' it with a sunblock cream on top.
The gel glides on easily on my skin, and I don't experience that icky 'greenhouse effect' where my face gets all sweaty.
On the other hand, if I overdo it with the product, it doesn't absorb fully and leaves a really noticeable stickiness.
The drawback is quite significant, as the stickiness is still there even 30 minutes after applying the product! So, to minimize the unpleasant sensations, I apply the cream in a super thin layer.
The finish is dewy, satin-like. It's especially great if I'm over the matte-face look.
After applying it, my skin looks well-groomed and radiant, like a freshly polished apple.
The product's texture, despite its seemingly lightweight appearance, is maximally moisturizing. The moisturization is felt by every single cell on my face, and there's no pulling or dryness.
With regular use, my skin's flakiness disappears. The moisturizing effect is similar to what I get from using a great hydrating face mask.
In addition to its amazing moisturizing properties, the cream has great nourishing properties too. It softens, boosts skin elasticity, and restores its firmness and suppleness.
I also noticed a visible anti-aging effect. Now, let me try to explain what I mean by an expressed anti-age effect. The cream isn't a magic wand, and it's not capable of ironing out deep mimetic wrinkles (which it shouldn't be expected to), but the small mimetic wrinkles have stopped drawing attention to themselves.
And I think that's more than enough for a product like this.
I don't love the creaminess, but as a product, it's doing something right for my skin. For oily skin, it's definitely too rich – it's better suited for mature skin that's prone to dryness.
