My Favorite Moisturizer for Dry Winter Skin - Round Lab Soybean Nourishing Cream
Hello everyone!
I've been a fan of Round Lab's approach to skincare for a while now. They focus on avoiding harsh ingredients in their products, yet still manage to deliver effective results. I've already shared my thoughts on their favorite face mask, and I've had a great experience with their sunscreen too. So when I needed a basic moisturizer, Round Lab was the first brand that came to mind.
Why a basic moisturizer? Well, during the winter and spring months, I use serums with active ingredients, and I also get regular micro-needling treatments and facials. If I were to add a rich moisturizer to the mix, it could be overwhelming for my skin, and I might even experience an allergic reaction. That's why I look for a moisturizer that provides hydration and nourishment without being too rich or heavy.
I chose this moisturizer because it's lightweight, non-greasy, and suitable for my skin type. I was looking for a product that would provide long-lasting hydration without clogging my pores or causing any irritation. After trying it out, I was impressed with its performance and decided to share my experience with you.
One of the key features of this moisturizer is that it's easy to use. I apply about 3-4 pea-sized amounts, dotting it all over my face. I've been using it for over a month now, and the jar is still more than half full.
I apply the cream right after mixing my serums (Art&Fact Seborregulating serum with niacinamide 20% and The Ordinary antioxidant EUK 134 0.1%).
The packaging is pretty standard - the cream comes in a cardboard box. All the information printed by the manufacturer is in English. However, when buying skincare products from Korean brands, we usually get the necessary information translated into Russian, thanks to the stickers on the packaging. This includes the description, ingredients, usage, and more.
Inside the box, you'll find a tub of cream and a scoop for taking it out. I prefer when the packaging is a tube, but this one's not bad.
The texture of this cream is amazing! It's lightweight, not greasy, and not too dense. In the tub, it's a beautiful cream-brown color, but on the skin, it's creamy.
The scent is barely noticeable to me, which is a huge plus, as I have a sensitive sense of smell and often get overwhelmed by strong or overpowering fragrances in skincare products.
During the fall and winter months, dryness can be a concern, but with the right skincare routine, it's manageable.
What I'm looking for in this cream is good moisturizing, nourishment, and soothing of irritation from all the procedures I've been doing lately. So, the cream should also calm my skin and not clash with other skincare products containing active ingredients.
Honestly, I didn't expect the basic cream to be so good that it'd become a permanent fixture on my shelf. And here's why:
I've gotta say, this cream absorbs beautifully into my skin, leaving it feeling super comfortable and hydrated without any residue or greasiness. It's a total winner for dryness and flakiness after exfoliating – no irritation, redness, or itchiness in sight, just smooth, supple skin.I'm not sure what's happening, but my post-acne scars are fading way faster with this cream. My skin tone is looking more even and refreshed than ever. And the proof is in the pudding – check out my skin after this cream has soaked in (no makeup, I promise!):It doesn't cake, irritate, or clog my pores – just pure, unadulterated goodness. This moisturizer has become my go-to for fall and winter. I couldn't find a single downside, and I'm really impressed with its performance. I'm not sure how it'll perform in the summer, but for the other seasons, this cream is a great choice.
And if you're looking to take it to the next level, try pairing it with the Round Lab Soybean Serum – the results are definitely worth it!

First impression-wise, the packaging is pretty standard - the cream comes in a cardboard box.
Honestly, I prefer when the packaging is a tube. I'm convinced that no matter how hard we try to maintain 'sanitary' conditions when scooping out the cream, tiny particles still end up in the product.
