I've been trying out Round Lab's products, and today I want to share my thoughts on the Mugwort Calming Cream.
From what I've seen, the Mugwort series from Round Lab is probably the least popular among their products, at least from my perspective as a customer. That's because it's not entirely clear what skin issues this series is designed to address, especially considering they launched a series for problem skin with Birch. However, according to the brand representatives, Mugwort is more suitable for skin up to 25 years old, as it has a gentle composition, while Birch is more intense and impactful.
Despite this, I used the cream from the Mugwort series in the spring, and it seemed really pleasant to me.
Packaging
I have a travel-sized cream in a tube, which is much more convenient than a jar. It came in a cardboard box initially. The packaging design, as always, is adorable and consistent with Round Lab's style - I really appreciate their aesthetic.
The cream was sealed with a foil protection, and the tube has a plastic lid that you can twist off.
The full-size volume is 80ml, and I have the 15ml version, which lasted me a whole month and a half. The cream is used up efficiently, and I was happy with the amount I got.
A bit about my skin:
I'm 34, with post-acne skin, occasional acne, enlarged pores, and oily skin.
The Product
The cream has a gel-like texture, but it's easy to spread. It feels really pleasant on the skin. The texture is amazing!
The cream leaves a moisturizing feeling on the skin, and it seems to absorb partially, leaving a bit behind. It's perfect for layering with a sunscreen or foundation.
Effectiveness
The active ingredient in this cream is Korean Mugwort extract, along with Centella, Alantoin, Cocoa seed extract, and Panthenol in the formula.
One of the things I like about this cream is how soothing it is for sensitive skin, which is a must-have for me. The mugwort used in this series is extracted through a complex process and undergoes multiple stages of processing to preserve as many beneficial compounds as possible.
I really like how easy it is to apply - it's the most gel-like of Round Lab's creams, and it's perfect for hot summer days. It calms down redness without clogging pores (at least, it didn't for me).

Why I won't repurchase the full-size:
One thing that's holding me back from repurchasing the full-size is the ingredient list - it's got a lot of silicones, even with all the natural ingredients and extracts. Plus, I'm already itching for something a bit more potent. As I mentioned earlier, this cream is more suited for teenagers and people under 25. If you need more hydration, go for the Series 1025 Dokdo; for problem skin, try the Pine; for nourishment, try the Soy.
Price:
The 15ml version costs 450 rubles, while the full-size 80ml version is 2490 rubles.
Verdict:
All in all, this cream is a great option for summer or hot weather - it doesn't clog pores, even with the silicones, and it's a good base for sunscreen and foundation. But I won't be repurchasing, as I'm eager to try more products.

Series 1025 Dokdo:
I've gotta say, I was really impressed with the entire Round Lab 1025 Dokdo skincare set. The Round Lab 1025 Dokdo Cleaning Oil is a game-changer for removing blackheads - it's like a deep clean for your pores.
The Round Lab 1025 Dokdo Cleanser is another standout product - it's gentle enough for daily use but still manages to get the job done.
I was a bit skeptical about the Round Lab 1025 Dokdo Toner at first, but it's actually really effective at balancing my skin's pH.
The ROUND LAB 1025 Dokdo Ampoule is a great addition to my skincare routine - it's packed with active ingredients that really make a difference.
I'm also loving the ROUND LAB 1025 Dokdo Cream - it's incredibly moisturizing without feeling greasy.
