Hello there!
I've been on a quest to find Korean skincare products that actually work, and Round Lab's marine water line has been a total lifesaver for me. As someone with sensitive and dehydrated skin, I struggle with dryness and flakiness during the winter months, and I need to constantly replenish my skin's barrier with retinol. I've been using the 1025 Dokdo cream in conjunction with a pen from the same series.
This cream is a gentle, delicate treatment, and when I use it with the pen, my skin says thank you. Today, I want to share my impressions of the cream with ceramides and marine water.
Volume: 80 ml.
Price: 2500 rubles.
Where to buy: Ozon, VTB, ZIA.
Product information
The hydrating cream with ceramides and marine water provides intense hydration and retains valuable moisture, preventing dehydration. The cream prevents age-related changes, smooths out 'dry' wrinkles, and has an anti-aging effect thanks to palmitoyl tripeptide-5.
Marine water (from Ullungdo Island, Korea) - includes a high concentration of minerals and, in addition to intense hydration, increases the skin's ability to retain valuable moisture inside.
Shea butter - deeply nourishes and hydrates, relieves dryness, tautness, and flakiness, increases elasticity and firmness of tissues, returns a healthy complexion and glow to the skin from the inside.
Monomolecular hyaluronic acid - intensely hydrates, relieves dryness, tautness, and flakiness, protects the skin from trans-epidermal water loss, keeping it in cells. Increases firmness, smooths out micro-relief.
Let's talk about the complex of ceramides (NP, AP, AS, EOP, NS) in this product. It's supposed to restore and fortify the skin's protective functions, regulate the lipid balance, prevent dehydration signs, and reduce sensitivity.
I have to say, the combination of allantoin and panthenol is pretty impressive. It calms the skin, gets rid of redness and irritation, accelerates wound healing, and smooths out rough patches. It's like a soothing balm for my skin!
The beta-glucan is another standout ingredient. It provides antioxidant benefits, stimulates collagen and elastin production, helps retain moisture in cells, and slows down the aging process. It's like a magic potion for my skin!
But what really caught my attention was the ingredient list. It's like a who's who of skincare superheroes!
I have to admit, I was skeptical at first. But after using it for a while, I can see the difference. My skin looks and feels better than ever.
The cream's formula
Water, Glycerin, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Propylene Glycol, Hydrogenated Poly(C6-14 Olefin), Cetearyl Alcohol, Methyl Trimethicone, 1,2-Hexanediol, Caprylyl Methicone, Phenyl Trimethicone, C12-16 Alcohols, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Sea Water, Chondrus Crispus Extract, Saccharum Officinarum (Sugarcane) Extract, Hyaluronic Acid, Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid, Sodium Hyaluronate, Glyceryl Stearate SE, Ceramide AP, Ceramide AS, Ceramide EOP, Ceramide NP, Ceramide NS, Polymethylsilsesquioxane, Palmitic Acid, Cetearyl Glucoside, Cetearyl Olivate, Sorbitan Olivate, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Copernicia Cerifera (Carnauba) Wax, Stearic Acid, Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate/VP Copolymer, Ethylhexylglycerin, Glyceryl Caprylate, Allantoin, Panthenol, Butylene Glycol, Beta-Glucan, Cholesterol, Phytosphingosine, Disodium EDTA.
The formula is packed with good stuff, but there's a catch: it contains three silicones. At first, I was worried it would clog my pores or cause acne, but so far, so good. The cream doesn't feel heavy or greasy, and my skin looks clear.
The winter-friendly ingredients like ceramides, panthenol, allantoin, and hyaluronic acid work together to restore my skin's barrier function, lock in moisture, and reduce sensitivity.
Packaging and design
I have to say, I was impressed with the packaging when it arrived. Since I ordered the cream from Ozon through an official distributor, the box was already wrapped in plastic. Everything arrived in great condition.
One thing I really love about this product is the design - it's so cute and stylish, with a beautiful image of crystal-clear sea water. The packaging is simple and uncluttered, but it still has all the important information: the ingredients, the expiration date, and a sticker with the Russian translation.
The lid has a plastic membrane, but I usually remove it. These membranes tend to get grimy from constant hand contact, and they can pick up all sorts of dust particles, which then end up in the cream. I'd rather just have a simple lid - it closes tightly, and the cream is so thick that it won't leak out.
Texture and scentThe cream has no scent whatsoever - it's completely odorless. But its texture is a different story.
I'd say the Dokdo 1025 is very dense and very rich, but not in a greasy way.
To be honest, I think a rich moisturizer is when your face feels sticky and shiny, you just want to blot it with a tissue or jump in the shower. But Round Lab's moisturizer with sea water is thick and dense, it absorbs super quickly and doesn't leave any stickiness or greasiness behind. For already moisturized skin, it might feel too heavy, but for dry, dehydrated, or combination skin - it's a total lifesaver. My Experience
I've been using Round Lab 1025 Dokdo both morning and night, and I've been alternating it with some amazing, restoring, and moisturizing creams from Eucerin and Medi-Peel, but right now, Round Lab is my go-to, and here's why.
Moisturizing 10/10. The cream is amazing at hydrating and nourishing dry skin, and it quickly gets rid of any flakiness. Thanks to great moisturizing, even the tiny fine lines caused by dryness get smoothed out. And honestly, after applying the cream, I feel like my face is just drinking in the moisture.
Round Lab's moisturizing cream is a total lifesaver for restoring my skin's protective barrier. I've had issues with redness and irritation after using retinol, but this cream with marine water soothes and repairs my skin in no time, leaving no signs of discomfort by morning.Works beautifully for sensitive skin. No nasty sensations after applying the cream – just a sense of comfort, hydration, and softness. When the cream spreads across my face and gets into my eyes, they don't sting or get irritated, which is a major plus. So, I also use it around my eyes.
No comedogenic effects. I was worried about the silicones in the formula causing breakouts, but thankfully, that wasn't the case. This cream hasn't caused any acne, clogged pores, or blackheads for me.
Unbelievably economical. The texture allows me to take a small amount, which is just enough to distribute the product evenly across my skin.
I'm really enjoying Round Lab's 1025 Dokdo cream right now, especially during the winter months, but I'm eager to try it out during the summer too. In the colder season, this cream doesn't cause my skin to produce excess oil, so I don't get that greasy, shiny look.
No unpleasant sensations after application. I don't feel or sense the cream on my face at all. It absorbs fully within 15 minutes, leaving a natural finish – neither matte nor shiny, but just a healthy, radiant glow.
Works great as a base under makeup. My cosmetics stay in place, and the cream doesn't conflict with either creamy or dry textures.
The verdict
Hands down, this moisturizer is a winner! It's not cheap, but it's definitely worth every penny. I've tried a bunch of hydrating creams with ceramides before, and this one from Round Lab is definitely up there in my favorites - and it actually works. It's so comfortable to apply, and it's perfect for sensitive skin like mine. I'm really impressed with this line, especially the one with sea water. I highly recommend it!
