Hello there! 💬

I've been a Rosselkhozbank customer for almost four years now, and to be honest, it's not by choice. I work at a place that has a salary project with Rosselbank, so I've been getting my salary through them all this time.
My savings and mortgage are actually with Sberbank, and I'm not particularly fond of it, but what can you do? Meanwhile, my salary is paid out through Rosselkhozbank.

I've been using an iPhone for a while now, and I know firsthand about the issues with banking apps. I've got two Sberbank apps and two Rosselkhozbank apps installed, and let me tell you, it's been a wild ride.
In the past few years, when the Rosselkhozbank app was removed from the App Store, I've been using an app called 'RSHB' that was originally installed. Recently, there was an update, and now it's called 'Yield Accounting'. The bank sent me a notification with a link to download the new app, and I successfully logged in to the system, but the interface has changed slightly, and it's basically the same as the old version.

I guess I'll start by talking about what I don't like about the bank, and I'll begin with the app – that's a whole separate story of struggles.

First, I encountered a problem with logging in to the bank. At the time, I was ill with COVID and couldn't get to the bank, and I hadn't set up login credentials for my personal account. I couldn't register on my own in the app using my card number, or through a call to the operator either. I couldn't even go to the bank because I was in quarantine. But somehow, I managed to create a personal account through an ATM at my local Rosselkhozbank branch.

I found the app to be a bit convoluted. Figuring out where the translations are located was a challenge – they're hidden in the 'Payments' section. And let me tell you, it's not just me who thinks so. I've seen many people complaining about it online.
❌ One thing that really stood out was the commission for topping up my phone – it's the only bank I've seen that charges for this service. I mean, come on, it's just a phone top-up! It's not like I'm trying to transfer millions of rubles.
✅ On the other hand, the bank does offer a nice interest rate on my account balance – up to 5%. I've been earning some decent interest on my savings, and that's always a plus.
I'm really pleased with the 'Harvest' rewards program. While I'm not entirely sure how the rewards are calculated, they do accumulate quickly. I usually use them to buy vouchers at 'Letual' or 'Ozon' stores, or to purchase items from the 'Harvest' online shop using my rewards points.
✅ The rewards system is pretty straightforward. I mean, it's not rocket science, but it's easy to use and understand.
❌ One thing that really grated on me was the lack of transparency when it comes to expenses – some of them are buried in subcategories, and it's not always easy to find them. I mean, come on, it's my money, and I should be able to see where it's going.
Of course, the app does offer some financial analysis tools, but they're not very polished or user-friendly. I mean, it's not like I'm asking for a PhD in finance or anything.
I have to say, the navigation in the app isn't the most intuitive. I mean, it's not like I'm trying to solve a puzzle or anything.
There are some decent deposit options available, but I had a bit of trouble opening a deposit account with this bank. The pin code they asked me to enter just didn't seem to match anything, and the whole process was a bit of a struggle.

Contact center – what a joke. When I call the bank, I'm not greeted as a regular customer like I am with Sberbank. Instead, I get these awkward phone calls from numbers that aren't even listed as bank contact numbers. They try to sell me credit cards and deposit options, and at first, I thought it was some kind of scam. But no, it's just the bank's customer service team.

SBP payments, transfers, and large purchases – it's like playing a lottery. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Transfers often freeze, so I need to transfer money to someone, while other banks do it in a split second, Rosselkhozbank thinks, sometimes thinks, and rejects the transfer. Sometimes I pay with Sberbank in a store, and it rejects the payment, it's a common story (there's always money on the card), it rejects it because it wants to.
I once made purchases of household appliances at 'M.Video', the amount was around 30,000 rubles (I bought a gas panel), the bank rejected the payment. Well, it wanted to, 'suspicious transaction', and it's always like that with purchases of approximately this amount. The bank rejects the payment, then I have to call to explain so they approve the payment, honestly, like I'm asking for a loan from them, not my own money!
The thing is: they reject it, and I have to call to let them approve the payment, isn't that crazy?

Renewing the card upon its expiration.
The renewal is perpetual, so the end date of the year is not determined. I don't know, is it good or bad, but they renew it not for a couple of years, but for an indefinite period. I mean, it's not like I'm trying to plan my finances or anything.

Notifications about deductions from the card come late: after the payment, the message about the deduction comes only 5-10 minutes later. Besides, the app often has technical issues, as well as problems with the card itself. I recently made a purchase and paid with Rosselkhozbank, but the operation was rejected at the terminal. I called the bank, and they told me they had technical issues and the money was stuck. They offered me to wait for the return for five days, which, in my opinion, is just not serious.

In general, I don't think this bank inspires trust in me. It doesn't seem reliable or trustworthy. I wouldn't take loans or credit cards from them, I wouldn't open accounts there. In general, I think this is a bad bank!
