A Retro Treat for Nostalgic TV Lovers: Moisturizing Creams That Bring Back the Good Old Days
Hello everyone!
This unique cream caught my eye right away on the website of an online store specializing in natural cosmetics. The bold design and the peculiar scent of a pine forest, along with the reference to the TV series 'Twin Peaks,' did their job, and I just had to get my hands on this cream, at least as a souvenir.
On some websites, the cream is positioned as a hand and body cream, but on the packaging, it's labeled as a face and body cream. This inconsistency is a bit confusing, so I've decided to use it on my body and hands.
Versatile line includes 3 cream options: pine forest, coffee with donuts, and cherry pie, which are symbols of the series. I chose the pine forest one because I wanted to mix things up. Pine scents are a refreshing change of pace, and I personally enjoy using pine and fir essential oils for aromatherapy in my home and bath.

Unique packaging that's eye-catching and memorable. The metal tube has a vintage feel, minimalist and rugged design with no glamour. This tube not only looks interesting but also protects the contents from light and bacteria, which is relevant for creams with a high number of natural ingredients and green preservatives.
Cream inspired by Twin PeaksThe protective membrane was there. protective membrane
The scent of the cream smells a lot like pine essential oil, which is in the ingredients. It's a bit different from the smell you'd get in a pine forest or sniffing a pine tree, but it's similar overall. The lid is flat and works fine, but there wasn't a sharp point inside to pierce the protective membrane, so I had to use scissors to poke a hole.

ingredients
Ingredients: Water, almond oil, avocado oil, camellia seed oil, chamomile oil, green tea oil, stearic acid, xylans (wheat emulsifier), dexamethasone, depanthenol, pine essential oil, food flavoring, potassium sorbate, sodium benzoate, phenylethyl alcohol (green preservative).
Barcode and manufacturerThe formula is really great, tons of oils and extracts. Of course, it's a far cry from the body and hand creams I normally use. Lots of oils and extracts, no glycerin or silicones, green preservative. Lameellar emulsifier - that's a rare thing. It's getting clear why the price is so high. Although souvenir products for fans of something always come with an increased price, the filling is worth it.
Consistency and application. Cream texturecream texturePacked, thick, and rich consistency, no separation noticed, spreads easily, moderate absorption, takes a few minutes to fully absorb. For hands and body, that's what you need, but only if you're not in a rush.Sawmill creamEffects and my experience. Although I immediately decided to use the cream for hands and body, but for the sake of experiment, I decided to try it on my face too, since the instructions recommend it for the face. My clean skin, slightly steamed, came out of a hot bath. Before
I apply a small amount of cream.Applying the sawmill creamGet the result, took the photo immediately after, without waiting. AfterAs I expected, the cream for my face skin is too rich and heavy. My skin is already prone to oiliness, enlarged pores, and inflammation. But sometimes I get flakiness too. I prefer lighter textures for my face. Although the cream didn't leave a greasy film or a strong shine on my face, I felt it was too nourishing. However, after touching my face an hour after applying the cream, I was pleased, my skin was soft, moisturized, and my natural sebum wasn't overproducing.
I liked using the cream instead of lip balm. It absorbs quickly, and the Sahara desert on my lips is retreating, my lips become soft and hydrated, It moisturizes much more intensely than lip balms, and the effect lasts longer, I didn't feel any unpleasant taste.
As a hand cream, it's really great, obviously different from the typical creams I bought in regular stores. From those, you don't feel any effect after 5 minutes, but from the sawmill cream, the effect I have to say, this cream feels amazing right from the start, and the comfort lasts for several hours. My hands were a mess before
my hands before applying the cream I apply it while applying it and get the results. Right after
my hands after applying the cream feel like I'm walking in a pine forest As someone who's always getting their hands dirty, whether it's from working with harsh water or handling chemicals, or just from playing with my cats and getting scratches, I really needed a moisturizer that could keep up. This intense cream with a bunch of natural oils was exactly what I needed.
I also loved using it on my legs after shaving. I have some weird issues with hair growth on my legs - it's gotten a lot less than usual, some hairs grow straight up, and others are all crooked, which makes depilating and waxing a real pain. This cream made it so much easier to deal with my legs after shaving. It absorbs really quickly, leaving my skin feeling soft and hydrated, and the itchiness is way down.
Usage is really economical. The tub only has 60ml of cream, but it's going to last a long time. I use about a centimeter for each leg and a centimeter for each hand, and even less for my face. For my lips, it's just a tiny bit.
The pros of this cream are: It comes in a stylish, themed packaging, has an original, natural pine scent, has a great composition with multiple natural ingredients,I'll separately mention the green preservative and the good emulsifier, but the shelf life is shorter than usual creams. It's super concentrated, rich, and nourishing, heals dry lips, the usage is economical, doesn't cause excessive oil secretion, didn't cause any allergic reactions. The cons are:
It's not suitable for oily skin on the face, as the intense moisturizing properties might be too much.I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a good moisturizer for their body and hands, especially if you're a fan of the past and want to reminisce about the good old days of 'Twin Peaks'. It would also make a great gift for someone from the 90s generation, especially during the holidays, as the pine scent creates a festive atmosphere. It does a great job of hydrating dry skin on your hands, body, feet, elbows, and dry lips.
As for the face, I would recommend it to people who love rich, nourishing creams and have very dry or weathered skin, like after a long walk in harsh weather conditions.
