I've been rocking the Realme Buds Air 6 Pro Earbuds for a bit now, and I'm seriously stoked with their value for money. The build quality is seriously solid, the battery life is crazy long, and connectivity is a total breeze. They're a total no-brainer for anyone looking for a reliable pair of earbuds that won't break the bank. I use them daily for workouts, commutes, and just chillin' at home - they're my go-to earbuds for sure.

Realme Buds Pro - A Budget Flagship That Holds Its Own Against Xiaomi

summarizeEditor's Summary

I gotta say, the Realme Buds Pro are a total game changer in the budget earbuds market. With features like LDAC audio codec, fast charging, and great sound quality, these earbuds have won me over. I've had a chance to use them for a week now, and I'm impressed with their build quality and battery life. My sons have been rocking their headphones for over six months now, and they're still going strong. I was hesitant to try out the Realme Buds Pro after my previous Redmi Buds 4 Pro were a letdown, but these earbuds have definitely redeemed the brand for me. They offer value for money, especially considering their price is a bit steep for a budget earbuds. The sound quality is top-notch, with deep bass and clear highs that make them perfect for listening to music, watching videos, or taking calls. I've also been impressed with the active noise cancellation, which is a total lifesaver in noisy environments. The water-resistant design means I can take them anywhere without worrying about damaging them. I've used them in the gym, during walks, and even while cooking in the kitchen - they're that durable. One thing I wish they had is a carrying case, but they're small enough to fit in my pocket or bag. Overall, I'm really happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend the Realme Buds Pro to anyone looking for a great pair of budget earbuds.

Realme Buds Pro - A Budget Flagship That Holds Its Own Against Xiaomi
I'll be the first to admit, these earbuds aren't revolutionary, but they're definitely more interesting to me than the latest from Xiaomi, specifically their Redmi Buds 5 Pro. In fact, when I was choosing my next TWS earbuds, the Xiaomi Redmi Buds 5 Pro were right up there with the Realme Buds Air 6 Pro, which I ended up going with.
I have to say, my previous Redmi Buds 4 Pro were a letdown, to say the least. They started to lose their sound quality after about six months of use, and they'd frequently disconnect from my phone or tablet. Not to mention, they'd often ignore my touch commands when I got a call. Needless to say, my faith in the Xiaomi brand took a hit, but the Realme Buds Air 6 Pro have definitely won me over.
I've had a chance to try out a few of their devices, but my sons have been rocking their headphones for over six months now. And let me tell you, I was seriously impressed with the realme c67 smartphone - it's one of the best deals in the sub-$20,000 market, in my opinion, and definitely one to consider in 2024.
For me, it all started with the design of these gadgets. I mean, I was sold on the looks before I even read the reviews and checked out the specs.
The combination of the graphite color and glossy finish looks great, but I have to admit, it's not the most practical choice.
Both the case and the device itself collect fingerprints pretty quickly, but it's not a major issue.
I could've bought a silicone case to go with it, but to be honest, it's not necessary - the device is big enough as it is. And after two months of heavy use, it still looks brand new, with not a single scratch to show for it.
The case is super easy to open and close, and taking the earbuds out is just as simple. I've had them drop a few times, but they're hard to shake loose.
The magnets are way stronger than my previous XiaoMi earbuds. Even when I'm shaking them, they don't want to budge. It'd take some serious effort to accidentally drop them.
No complaints here - they sit comfortably in my ears, and I don't need to adjust them often, even during intense workouts.
The sound quality is seriously impressive - these headphones are way louder than my Redmi 4 Pro, so I can clearly hear content when I'm working with power tools or listening to music on the metro.
As for the bass, lows, and highs, I'm not exactly an audiophile - I'd struggle to tell a tenor from a tuner, a violin from a balalaika, or Shamans from Lepsa. But for testing purposes, I cranked up some Ocean Elza on YouTube and was blown away. The sound is spot on, even for a self-proclaimed expert like me.
I've got to give a shoutout to the active noise-cancelling tech - it's seriously cool. It's like you're transported to a different world where all you can hear is the content on your phone, and it's a really pleasant and immersive experience.
I've gotta say, the call quality with these headphones left me with a very positive impression. You can hear the other person clearly, and they don't have any issues with connectivity either. It's pretty much just as it should be - nothing more, nothing less.
Connecting them for the first time was a breeze, and you don't need to perform any fancy rituals or incantations to get them working.
To get the most out of these headphones, I recommend downloading the Realme Link app. This is where you can unlock all the features and customize them to your liking.
Unlike the manual, the app has a language that's easy to understand, even for a Russian speaker like myself. Plus, it's got some really interesting settings and features that you won't find on the Xiaomi version.
The Gold Sound Profile is a game-changer - it lets you fine-tune the bass and frequencies in just a few minutes, tailoring the sound to your specific hearing. I was blown away by how intuitive it was, and how much of a difference it made. I've never seen anything like it before.
I was also stoked to discover the "Mindflow" mode – a collection of sounds designed for relaxation. At first glance, it might seem like nothing special, but sometimes you just want to "be left alone" and tune out the world, and that's where these nature sounds come in!
What didn't I like? Well, it's not all sunshine and rainbows here...
One thing that bugged me was the pop-up window on my tablet showing the battery charge percentage.
I've noticed this weird issue where the connection drops and reconnects every minute or so, like my headphones are constantly losing and finding their connection to my Xiaomi Pad 6. But weirdly, there are no issues with the connection stability, and the sound stays crystal clear. I'm still not sure what's causing this or why I'm being warned about it.
Another thing I've missed from my Redmi Buds 4 Pro is the battery level indicator on the top panel of my smartphone or tablet. So, you can't see if the devices are connected or not. Usually, all you need to do is put them in your ear, but...
Occasionally, after disconnecting from one device, my headphones won't automatically connect to the other, and I have to manually connect them in the settings. This can get confusing when you're watching a video or listening to music, and the sound is coming from your phone instead of the device you're trying to connect to.
As a result, I'd say that realme has managed to outdo Xiaomi in some areas, but they're still not perfect and have room for improvement. Still, I'd recommend giving them a try, even if you're a long-time Xiaomi fan like me.
