There are some new, very charismatic characters in the new Prostokvashino. Let's break down each of them.

Vera Pavlovna

She's my uncle Fedor's sister – a little girl who can't talk yet, but she's got a better understanding than most. I found her character a bit quirky at first, but it took me a while to get used to her. She just doesn't fit in with the Prostokvashino vibe. Her modern look doesn't quite work for me.

Uncle Fedor's mom is still as mannered as ever. She's pretty similar to her original self.

I've gotta say, the dad in this version is way too soft and clueless. And both parents seem to have given up on raising their kids.

Matroskin, in my opinion, looks like they ripped off the 'Prostokvashino' cartoon from a yogurt commercial. So, it's stuck in my head as an ad rather than the original show.

The dog looks cute, but the storyline is just plain stupid and too reliant on gadgets. It's like, I don't even feel any sympathy for the thing.

There are a bunch of other characters in the show, some of which are pretty unexpected. Like, have you seen that singer Nileto? To me, it's just cringeworthy. If you're a fan of the old 'Prostokvashino' cartoon, I'd say just skip these episodes altogether. I think they came out in the 5th season, or something.
