Editor's Summary

Probalance Sterilized cat food didn't meet our expectations. The lack of information about the composition, particularly the percentage of meat content, is a significant drawback. Our cats didn't enjoy the food, and we wouldn't recommend it to others.

Introduction

Hello everyone. I'm a happy owner of two fluffy cats. As any cat owner, I try to find the best food for my pets.

Unfortunately, I had to order a different cat food when I couldn't find the one I usually buy on the market. I discovered Probalance Sterilized cat food, which had good reviews and a reasonable price.

Product Details

Place of purchase: Ozon

Product code: 1582831623

Cost: 583 rubles for 28 packets, which is 21 rubles per packet

Food class: Premium

Needs: Sterilized and castrated

Composition Analysis

After receiving the packets, I started analyzing the composition. The information on the back is written in a very small font, and there's a lot of information, making it hard to read without a magnifying glass.

I looked up the product card on Ozon to find the composition there.

Here's what I found:

Chicken meat, meat and meat by-products, fish and fish by-products, plant-derived proteins (wheat, peas), prebiotic, phyto-composition of medicinal herbs 'Fitocare for cats', animal-derived proteins, vitamin and mineral supplement for cats, taurine.

What I Dislike About the Composition

Firstly, I strongly dislike that the percentage of meat content is not indicated.

When we open the composition of the previous food we used, it will show:

Meat and meat ingredients - 37% (including fresh chicken meat and fresh beef)However, Probalance doesn't provide this information. How am I supposed to know how much meat my pets will get?

What I Like About the Composition

One positive aspect is the presence of peas in the composition. Cats, like humans, need carbohydrates, and peas are highly digestible.

Other than that, the composition seems understandable, with vitamins, taurine, which is essential for heart health and good vision in cats.

However, the lack of information about the percentage of fat content in the composition is a significant minus.

Food Kibbles

The kibbles are quite large, even too large compared to other liquid cat food brands.

Our older cat has dental problems, and eating such large kibbles is a challenge for him.

On the other hand, our younger cat has no issues with eating them.

Conclusion

Our cats didn't enjoy the Probalance Sterilized cat food. Even our younger cat, who eats everything, didn't finish her meal.

I wouldn't recommend this food to anyone, especially considering the lack of information about the composition.
