I've struggled with chronic fatigue and occasional body aches for years, searching for answers beyond what my doctor could tell me. Four years ago, I stumbled upon an author who introduced me to a whole different approach to medicine that explained where our illnesses come from.

At first, it was tough to wrap my head around the idea that our psychological, emotional, and social factors could have such a huge impact on our physical health. But the more I learned, the more it made sense. I mean, we've all heard that stress and negative thoughts can affect our health, but I never really understood how until I read this book.

So, how did I come across this book? I decided to dive deeper into the subject and read some more serious books on the topic. Based on online reviews, I bought three books on OZON, and one of them was Artem Tolokonin's "Practical Psychosomatics: Which Emotions and Thoughts Program Disease and How to Achieve Health". Many people recommend this book, and after reading it, it became a real game-changer for me.

I won't go into every detail, but I'll focus on what I found most interesting and what I learned.

About Disease

Illness is basically our body's way of adapting to a situation. Painful memories are pushed from our conscious mind into our subconscious, so we don't suffer – and that's what creates the underlying problem. In other words, a strong stress that gets pushed into our subconscious triggers the disease.It's all about emotional conflicts.

All our conflicts show up in muscle tension. By working on our muscle armor (exercise, sex, etc.), we can release emotional conflict and normalize our mental activity. There's energy in our body that gets released when we do this, and it leads to healing, normalized mental activity, disappearing emotional conflicts, and ultimately, freedom from diagnosis.I was fascinated by the explanation of how our ancestors' subconscious affects us.

As it turns out

what our parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, and great-great-grandparents experienced in the past shapes our karma. Our emotional experiences also impact this karma, which manifests at a certain age and under certain circumstances. For example, when a woman gets married and has a child, she starts feeling everything her mom (grandma, great-grandma) felt at the same age.

I never thought about this before.

The author explains this concept of psychosomatics in many diseases with relatable examples. Like, why do teeth get destroyed?

Teeth aren't just an organ that helps us not go hungry – they're also an organ that helps us defend ourselves. If someone's experiencing anxiety about a situation and won't express their discontent, their teeth will start to deteriorate.

You need to take your time to digest the wealth of information Tolokonin shares. I actually found that refreshing.
