Piatigorsk Ice Cream's Apple Sorbet: A Delicious Treat Worth Savoring
I'm super excited to share my thoughts on Piatigorsk Ice Cream, specifically the Apple Sherbet. This stuff is sold in all the cities of Kavkazskie Mineralnye Vody, but let me warn you, it's not cheap - it's around 90-100 rubles. But trust me, it's an absolute delight because of its ridiculously delicious taste and refreshing quality.
I'm a huge fan of sherbet, and I just couldn't pass it up. They also have a Cherry Sherbet that I'll be reviewing separately.

Form: frozen dessert with a green apple aroma
Flavor: apple
Weight: 80 g
Manufacturer: OAO "Cold".
Brand: Piatigorsk Ice Cream
Price: 90-100 rub
Where to buy: in stores in the cities of Kavkazskie Mineralnye Vody. I also saw it in Nalchik city.
PACKAGING
This ice cream comes in a pretty cool plastic cup with some awesome green apple designs on it. You can also spot the logo of the company "Cold" - it's a penguin on a red and blue background. I think the cup is super eye-catching and really grabs your attention.
In fact, this ice cream is not sold everywhere in Piatigorsk, and when it's sold in street stalls during New Year's, you might have to wait in line for it. There's also a cafe on the ice cream factory premises where you can try a ton of different flavors, and it's a bit cheaper than in the street stalls. Plus, you get to eat it indoors, which is a big plus!
COMPOSITION
You can check out the composition on the back of the cup. I think sherbet is the safest ice cream option because it doesn't contain milk or any milk substitutes. The base is apple puree. I like the composition - there's nothing that stands out as bad. So, if you're craving something light, this ice cream is a great choice. Plus, the calorie count isn't too high compared to other ice creams, like the ones with chocolate coating.
CALORIC CONTENT
On the back of the cup, you can find the nutritional information, including the 120 kcal per 100g of this sherbet. I think that's not too bad.
Weight
In this container, there's 80g of sherbet, and it's pretty small, so you're always left wanting more.
Manufacturer
This sherbet is made by the Kholod company based in Pyatigorsk. You'll find all their contact info on the cup, including their website where you can learn more about their products and find something new to try.
Expiration date
This sherbet has a shelf life of 1 year from the date of production.
Production date
The production date is stamped on the bottom of the container.
Lid
The cup has a plastic lid with a built-in spoon. It's super convenient. Gone are the days of having to go home to finish your sherbet or searching for a wooden stick in the store.
Let's take a closer look at this spoon. You can even leave it in and use it for something else later. I think it's a great idea, but it does add to the cost of the sherbet.
Under the lid, you'll find a plastic wrap that you'll need to remove to get to the sherbet.
Color
The sherbet has a nice, creamy green apple color. Now that we've removed the lid and wrap, we can see how appetizing it looks. It's always extremely frozen, so I need to wait a bit for it to soften slightly. That's how I like to enjoy sherbet.
GREEN APPLE AROMA
And this ice cream has a super pleasant aroma, not chemical, but the real smell of green apples.
Alright, let's take a small scoop and enjoy the incredible taste. It's not too sweet, refreshing on a hot day, and I'd even want it in winter because it's just so delicious.
THE VERDICT
Piatigorsky Ice Cream's Green Apple Sherbet really won us over, and we've already made this purchase multiple times. Unfortunately, this ice cream isn't sold in our area, you can only find it in the northern Caucasus region.
We've been to a cafe in the city of Essentuki a few times and they have an automatic ice cream dispenser where you can buy it using your card, and then it comes out, and you can take it with you.
THE PLUSSES

THE MINUSES

MY RATING
My rating for this ice cream would be a million fives, but since I can only give one, that's what I'm giving.
RECOMMENDATION
I'd be happy to recommend trying this ice cream, especially for those who love sherbet. Delicious sherbet is hard to come by, like when I recently bought a mango-flavored sherbet by A4 and it was just awful.
You can also find a blackcurrant sherbet by Mogilev Ice Cream Factory in a five-kopek store, it's a pretty unique option. I'd recommend trying this blackcurrant treat.
We once tried a super cheap sherbet in a Lenta store's own brand, '365 days', and it's edible, but not that great. It's in a waffle cup, and the waffle was just unnecessary.
And that's it for my review. I hope you all enjoy your meal and have a great mood. Thanks for your attention, and I'll be sharing more about Piatigorsky Ice Cream soon.
