- The price is very reasonable – 350 rubles for 10 tablets is a great value for money.
- Petcam has helped my cat recover from surgery much faster than I expected.

remove_circle Cons
- One thing that took some getting used to was the fact that I had to give Sony two tablets twice a day – it can be a bit of a hassle.
- I wish there were more options for different dosages, but 0.5 mg is what we needed for Sony.
- It's not the most pleasant experience giving your cat medication, but Petcam makes it a bit easier.
- I'm not a fan of the packaging – it could be more user-friendly.
- I've heard that some cats can be sensitive to NSAIDs, so you should definitely consult with your vet before giving Petcam to your cat.
- I also wish there were more instructions on how to administer the medication, but my vet was super helpful.

Editor's Summary
I recently had to give my cat, Sony, some unwanted surgery. She needed help with pain management, and I gotta say, Petcam was a total lifesaver. After the first surgery, I didn't need to give her any additional painkillers at home, but after the second one, things got a bit more complicated. Sony had two drains in her groin and under her front paw, and we were prescribed Petcam to help with the pain. I'll break down my experience with this vet-approved medication, which made a huge difference in her recovery.

Hello everyone!
My cat recently had surgery to remove her mammary glands and uterus. In this review, I'll be talking about the veterinary NSAID Petcam.
Petcam for dogs and catsPrice: 350 rubles for 10 tabletsDosage: 0.5 mg (there's also 2 mg, but we were prescribed this one)Where I bought it: vet pharmacy
BackgroundI'd had my cat, Sony, in for surgery once before, where they removed her uterus and one set of mammary glands with lymph nodes. This second surgery was a month later, where they removed the second set of mammary glands with lymph nodes. After the first surgery, Sony didn't need any additional painkillers at home; we just took her in for daily injections. After the second surgery, Sony had two drains in her groin and under her front paw, where they immediately injected lidocaine and told us that she probably wouldn't feel any pain today, but if we thought she was in pain, we should give her 0.5 mg of Petcam. I asked the doctor, 'How will we know if she's in pain?' He just said, 'You'll know.' Since Sony didn't need any additional painkillers after the first surgery, I hadn't bought Petcam in advance. We got home, Sony was coming out of anesthesia, thrashing around, trying to get up and run, then she fell asleep, ate some food, and seemed okay. But by nightfall, she was shivering and screaming at the top of her lungs – it wasn't even a cat-like scream. I realized she was in pain. I grabbed my stuff and rushed to the vet pharmacy while it was still open and bought Petcam.
Petcam for dogs and catsThe packaging was brutally torn open because I was opening it on the stairs while I was in a rush.
CompositionPetcam is meloxicam. I immediately thought it sounded familiar, and it is – it's a human medication, just with different dosages. I've used it before under the name Amelotex.
AdministrationSony weighs exactly 5 kg, so she needed one tablet a day. The tablet had to be given with food, but Sony wasn't interested in eating – she'd eaten a few hours ago, but I couldn't get her to eat anymore. I didn't want to force anything down her throat, especially with fresh stitches, blood, and wounds. The tablets are small, but I wouldn't have wanted to shove them down her throat anyway.
