First timer here and I'm impressed - great food, good value, but a few hiccups.
add_circle Pros
- The food is incredibly flavorful, with generous portions that won't break the bank.
- The pizza is solid, with a crispy crust and just the right amount of toppings.
- The play areas on both floors are a great touch for families with kids.
- The staff are friendly and attentive, even on a busy night like a birthday celebration.
- The location is super convenient, right by the entrance to Gagarin Central Park.
remove_circle Cons
- The place could use a deeper clean, especially in the corners and along the baseboards.
- No discounts for birthdays, which was a bit of a bummer.
- The menu could use some more variety, especially for non-pizza lovers.
- The music was a bit too loud, making it hard to have a conversation at times.
- The second floor got pretty crowded.

Editor's Summary
I just got back from my first visit to Papa Carlo, and I'm still reeling from the experience. My friend's birthday celebration was a blast, with delicious food and some unexpected surprises. The place has a homey vibe, and the food is seriously tasty. But, there were a few hiccups that kept it from being a total winner. Here's the lowdown on what went down.
Specifications
Hello everyone, it's me again with another review.
Today we're celebrating a friend's birthday at Papa Carlo
Papa CarloPapa Carlo is a spot that's easy to find, right by the entrance to Gagarin Central Park, at Kommuna Street 100.
This is my first time here, so I'll share my thoughts, and you should definitely check it out!
At first glance, the place looks pretty cute and homey.
Papa CarloPapa CarloThe restaurant is spread across two floors, and it's geared towards families, so there are play areas and a fun vibe.
Papa CarloThe interior design is pretty quirky, with lots of fun details.
Okay, let's dive into the menu
For example,

The star of the show, of course, is the pizza! It's top-notch, and super tasty. The portions are huge, and they're loaded with ingredients. The chefs didn't skimp on the cheese – it's a lot of cheese, and that's a major plus!

Next up, let's talk about the desserts. They have European-style ice cream, served in balls or in cups with various toppings.
"Papa Carlo" "Papa Carlo" Prices
The prices you see on the photo are super reasonable. I'm impressed!
We also ordered some tea, an orange, and a papaya.
Our young waiter couldn't pronounce, or maybe didn't know, the name of the thing they served the tea in - a 500ml French press coffee maker. I'm being kind, though. I wouldn't have known what it was either. French press coffee maker brewing glass.
"Papa Carlo" So, we waited for about 3-4 minutes for it to brew. But when it was done, it was a light color, which surprised us. I said, "Okay, let's give it a try. Maybe it's still good." And it was good, but only for one serving. Unlike the hot drinks you get at other places, where you can always add more. Another thing that caught my attention was the bathroom. Because the place is big and popular, and there are a lot of people.
The bathroom was...fine. But it could be cleaner. The toilet was wobbly, to say the least. (Admin, take note!)
"Papa Carlo" "Papa Carlo" "Papa Carlo" And one more thing that I just can't ignore. In all the decent places, there's usually a "happy birthday" discount or a freebie. And it's usually available 7 days before and 7 days after the birthday. But here, we were only a day after the birthday, and they didn't give us the "happy birthday" discount. That's a big minus in my book!
Overall, I'd still recommend this place. It's great for families and groups.
Enjoy your meal!
