Hello!
I've been using Ozon Global services for almost two years now, and I haven't had any major complaints. Most of the time, I buy Chinese products from them, which are also available on AliExpress, and I compare prices to see where I can get the best deal. Lately, Ozon Global has been offering lower prices than AliExpress more often.
But recently, I've started ordering products not only from China, but also from Turkey. As for other countries, I'm not sure.
Below, I'll show you all my purchases, but first, let me tell you about the app.
When the service first launched, the Ozon app had a separate button for international products. Now, that button is gone, and I have to dig through the entire catalog to find international products.
The easiest way to identify them is by checking the delivery date in the feed – international products usually don't have a delivery date earlier than two weeks from the current date.
In the product card, you can find out if it's an international product by checking the 'Delivery and return' section – the warehouse name will be in a foreign language, and you'll see a 'Conditions of international delivery' section. Also, the store names of Chinese product sellers often look like a random mix of letters.
The delivery conditions section is quite detailed, with answers to many questions, and it even has a search function. For international delivery, you'll need to provide your passport number. When I was changing it, I forgot to update both in the app and my order got stuck on delivery. After correcting the details, it moved forward.
Before, international items were separated from the rest in the cart, which was convenient.
The top two are Ozon Global, and you can only guess that from the nonsensical string of words in the name - it's a Chinese translation.
When placing the order, you'll see the separation between Ozon and international delivery. You'll also see the delivery dates for each item.
You can track your order in the Ozon app, and there's also a link to the carrier's website for more detailed tracking information.
If there's a delay, you'll also see a notification about it. My orders rarely experienced delays.
🛍️🛍️🛍️🛍️🛍️🛍️Now I'll show you my purchases through Ozon Global.
My first purchase was made in December 2023, and we got it under the New Year. It was a computer mouse. It was cheaper than in city stores. It cost 7,009 rubles, so we started using the service with non-cheap items.
The mouse is almost two years old, and it's still working fine.
I ordered the MR.GREEN nail clippers in the Official Store store right after getting the mouse. They cost 816 rubles.
They're sharp, high-quality, and I like them.
Then there was a long break in purchases on this service. During that time, it turned into an AliExpress affiliate. Chinese goods flooded Ozon Global. In the summer of 2024, I ordered a set of two silk pillowcases. It cost 1,284 rubles, and the store was called Jasmine.
We loved the laundry baskets so much that I immediately ordered a second set. This time, they cost me 1,032 rubles and I bought them from the AWD store.
When we decided to upgrade our delicates hamper, we found the one we needed on Ozon Global - it was cheaper than on local marketplaces.
The hamper cost me 4,459 rubles, and the store was called gfhfhf.
Here's a price comparison with a local store and a Chinese one.
It arrived in a cardboard box with noticeable dents.
The hamper was intact, but it had a slight bend in one spot. My husband manually straightened it out.
At first, our son took it over for playing. I've had this thing for a year now, and it's still going strong as a laundry basket. Everything's been great.
But that wasn't the end of my storage shopping spree. I also got a mushroom-shaped sock holder for my son's closet. It cost me 1,733 rubles. I wasn't a fan of the packaging - it was just a plain box with no filler.
The mushroom is made of natural rattan and has held up great, considering my son likes to play with it sometimes. Now all our socks live in this little house.
Next up, I ordered a kitchen runner, but it took two tries to get it right. The first one took ages to arrive, and then they cancelled it. I ordered another one from a different store, and they even promised me rewards for writing a review. At first, I thought the shipping time would be too long for the promo to end, but then I saw that Ozon had a new feature - if you buy a product with a promo, it gets added to the Reviews section immediately. This applies to both regular and international shipping items. So, I wrote a review and got my points even though the product took almost a month to arrive.
The trackable package arrived in two separate packages.
Check it out on my table.
It cost me 388 rubles, and for comparison, here's the price on AliExpress:
My next order was in June, and it was a trendy Turkish chocolate. I was even surprised to see that Ozon Global offers products from countries other than China. I chose four different chocolate bars from two sellers.
But when I tried to place the order, I got a message saying that delivery of items over 0.5 kg to this pickup point was impossible. And, it seemed, to the other ones I'd specified too.
Although the total weight of the chocolate squares didn't exceed half a kilo, I guess there were some rounding issues.
I had to split the order into two. The chocolate arrived wrapped in bubble wrap and packaging. The first disappointment awaited me at the pickup point. Instead of one square of Dubai chocolate, they gave me another pink one.But since the package was already open, I couldn't refuse it.
In the end, I got 2 Dubai chocolates and 2 'hairy' ones. The second disappointment awaited me after unwrapping one of the squares - it was once melted and then frozen. And they packed it like that because the other chocolates from this store arrived intact.
I've written to the sellers about the tile replacement and melting chocolate issue, but I haven't heard back. To be honest, I didn't expect a response, considering the nature of buying from Ozon Global.
And these are my latest purchases - a basket and earrings.
The earrings come in a plastic pouch with a cleaning cloth included.
This time, the delivery guy told me that I can return these items after opening the packaging. I'm not sure if this applies to all Ozon Global orders or just a few. Next time, I'll ask for clarification. Here are some more toys I bought through Ozon Global.
I've got a few more packages coming from this service, despite the issues I've experienced. I still think it's a good option, but be prepared for some complexities when dealing with sellers. Do your research and choose your sellers wisely, as some have terrible reviews.
