I'm a total sucker for sweets, but lately, I've been trying to cut back on keeping chocolate and candies at home. Instead, I've been sticking to desserts like ice cream or cakes from VkusVill, and every now and then my daughter and I will indulge in dried mango – it's a treat because it's so calorie-dense, but I don't buy it too often.
Then I heard the news: cocoa bean prices are skyrocketing due to a bad harvest. Either I'd have to break the bank on chocolate or some varieties would disappear from the shelves. And with autumn rolling in, I wanted to stock up on some essentials – like warm blankets, hot cocoa, and of course, chocolate.
That's when I remembered KDV, a store in our city that's part of the YaShka chain. They have a dedicated section for their own brand, and I discovered they offer some pretty great chocolate candies. Some of them, like the ones priced at 1200 rubles a kilo, are even premium quality – and they really deliver on taste and quality. It's a hidden gem, for sure.
Among their offerings, I tried out the OZERA brand, and today I want to share my thoughts on the chocolate that made me a repeat customer:

By the way, have you noticed how the traditional 100-gram gold standard for chocolate bars has been decreasing at an alarming rate? I mean, some popular brands are now offering 80-gram or 85-gram bars instead. From what I've seen, even the OZERA bar I tried isn't a full 100 grams – but it's a bit more than that. Still, in every other aspect, I think this chocolate holds its own against the likes of Ritter Sport. And I'm not alone in that opinion – the ones I've tried from popular retail stores just can't compare.
That's not the case with OZERA – I only see it in their store.
Last time I was treated to a Milka chocolate bar with a whole almond, and I was shocked to find some small almond fragments in the entire bar, which were not even whole... Milka, do you have a conscience?! I was utterly shocked by such audacity
COMPOSITION
I was pleasantly surprised to find that OZERA's ingredients list is pretty straightforward – no unpleasant aftertastes or artificial flavors in sight. Just a hint of Belgian creaminess to round it out.
Inside this chocolate, you'll find a delightful combination of ingredients: sugar, roasted hazelnuts, whole milk powder, cocoa butter, cocoa powder, dried milk whey, and emulsifiers like soy lecithin and E476. There's also a hint of flavoring. Be aware that there might be traces of almond, peanut, and gluten-containing products.
One thing that caught my eye was the landscape on the packaging – it's pretty cool! The reliefs made me smile.

The top layer is smooth, with clear divisions between the chocolate pieces
And on the back, you'll find the hazelnuts – yum! There's a generous amount of them, and they're crunchy, not dry or burnt. The taste is amazing – perfect for those who love the combination of nuts and chocolate.Whole Milk Chocolate with Hazelnuts Yashkino Reviews
I highly recommend trying this chocolate because it offers great value for money, has plenty of hazelnuts, and tastes like pure, rich milk chocolate without any palm oil or artificial flavors. For a chocolate that left such a great impression, I'd definitely recommend it!Overall, I'm thoroughly impressed with OZERA's MOLOCHNY SHOKOLAD S TSELNYM FUNDUKOM. The combination of smooth milk chocolate and crunchy hazelnuts is a match made in heaven. I've tried other chocolate bars with hazelnuts before, but this one stands out from the crowd. The price is also very reasonable, especially considering the high quality of the ingredients. If you're a fan of milk chocolate and hazelnuts, I highly recommend giving this a try.
As I mentioned earlier, I've been trying to cut back on keeping chocolate at home, but this one has made me an exception. I've already bought a few more bars and I'm planning to stock up for the winter. The packaging is also very appealing, with a nice landscape design that adds to the overall experience.
One thing to note is that the chocolate bar is a bit smaller than usual, but the quality makes up for it. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a delicious and satisfying chocolate treat.
