Where Did 424 Hours of My Life Go? The World Needs Heroes

summarizeEditor's Summary

I'm obsessed with Overwatch, a cooperative shooter that's perfect for playing with friends or solo. With a huge cast of characters to choose from, you'll never get bored. The graphics are top-notch, and the game's constantly getting new updates with fresh maps and heroes. Plus, no extra fees for new content – a major win in my book. But, be warned, it's easy to lose track of time, and before you know it, you'll have sunk hundreds of hours into the game like I did.

Hello everyone!
I'm guessing some of you are gamers, or at least, your kids, friends, or colleagues are. Gaming has become a huge part of the male-dominated world, but it's not just for them – it's for anyone who's interested in an awesome game.
Tonight, I want to talk about a cooperative shooter called "Overwatch".
Heroes wanted!
That's the game's main slogan – and it's spot on.
Price: 2000 rubles (standard edition);
To be honest, Blizzard Entertainment's games aren't exactly cheap. But, as they say, you get what you pay for. I think 2000 rubles is a fair price for a game that'll keep you entertained for years to come. And the best part? No extra fees for new maps or heroes – although some newer games do charge for that.
You can spend extra cash on 'loot boxes' if you want. Each loot box contains 4 items, which could be anything from a hero skin to an emotion. There's a chance you'll get a duplicate, though. I think buying loot boxes is a waste of money. They're given out as rewards for leveling up, but some players on Twitch buy them with their subscribers' cash.
The game has a ton of heroes, each with their unique abilities. They're categorized into assault, defense, tank, and support heroes. It's pretty self-explanatory – assault heroes are fast and agile, defense heroes are great at holding positions, and tank heroes take the brunt of the damage.
I've found that 4 out of 5 support heroes can heal their teammates' health. One of them can even bring allies back from the dead.
I've been playing the support heroes most often, and it's because they're often underutilized. Plus, I personally love them - for example, the right resurrection can be the difference between winning and losing.
Occasionally, it's fun to play as a sniper. There are three of them, including a medic.
Rocky WidowNew heroes are occasionally added to the game. For example, the latest one I've seen is Death's Fist.
The cards are colorful and diverse, with every detail thought out.
The game has multiple modes, so you'll always find something to do. Special events pop up a few times a year, and that's when you can get unique characters, lines, and emotions.
One thing to keep in mind is that the game is primarily team-based. Success relies on everyone working together. Solo wins are almost impossible if the rest of your team is slacking off.
That's when you know who's actually pulling their weight...
The game is really enjoyable. You can have a blast playing it, but don't take it too seriously – don't get discouraged by losses. It's just a game! Yeah, you might get a tough team or opponents, but it's all good – it'll balance out next time.
I wish they'd create permanent PVE modes instead of just special events.
I like how you can master different characters and switch it up. Sometimes the game takes a completely different turn when you choose a different hero.
One of the best things about Overwatch is that you can play with your friends. We're talking about a team of six players, with a 6x6 grid to boot. Plus, there's a group chat that lets you communicate with your teammates in real-time - both text and voice. I have to admit, I disabled the voice chat feature a while back, mainly because I didn't want to deal with hearing people yelling in different languages... there are some pretty toxic individuals out there!
I'm not kidding when I say that Overwatch is the game of the year. Where did 424 hours of my life go, you ask? It's a wonder I still have a social life!
That's all for now, folks!
