Hello everyone! (´• ω •`)ノ

I was recommended Orozyme by my vet, and I'm so glad I gave it a shot.

FROM THE MANUFACTURER:
Orozyme gel is designed for oral hygiene in pets, including dogs and cats of various breeds, small and large rodents, foxes, and more. The gel contains a peroxidase system that maintains the natural balance of microorganisms in the pet's mouth. Peroxidases are enzymes that catalyze oxidation using hydrogen peroxide and break down inorganic and organic substances. Given that the action of this system depends on various factors related to the degree of saliva formation, which in turn is influenced by the pet's diet and age, as well as their overall health, it's advisable to enhance the peroxidase system in your pet with Orozyme gel.
Orozyme gel also contains a surface-active substance that provides a relatively long contact time with your pet's teeth. Enzymes infiltrate the dental plaque and thus eliminate the cause of bacterial multiplication. As a result, existing plaque is destroyed, and its further formation is prevented. Orozyme gel contains:
Patented LPO-complex: amylase, glucoamylase, glucose oxidase, lactoperoxidase, superoxide dismutase (SOD), lysozyme, lactoferrin, soft polishing components, non-ionic surfactant, flavorings
DESCRIPTION:
Type:
Orozyme gel came in a standard quality tube with a cap and membrane.
The package included a nozzle, which I both attached and left as is.
One thing that caught my eye is the weight of this product – it's only 70 grams.
Origin: Belgium
Price and where to buy: 670₽. I got it from Onlinetrade.
Texture, smell, and color:
The scent is almost non-existent. The gel is liquidy, beige in color, and has a strong adhesive texture, similar to a cream.
Composition:
The patented LPO-complex includes: amylase, glucoamylase, glucose oxidase, lactoperoxidase, superoxide dismutase (SOD), lysozyme, lactoferrin, soft polishing agents, non-ionic surfactant, and flavor enhancers.

Usage and effect:
Use once a day – 3 times a week.
For dogs: apply directly to the mouth (this method is the most effective for all animals).
For cats: apply directly to the mouth, or, for licking, to the paw.
For small animals: 1 cm of gel.
For animals under 20 kg: 2 cm of gel.
For animals over 20 kg: 5 cm of gel.
I have a 7 kg dog, so I take about 2 centimeters. I give it to him in the evening, a few hours after dinner, every 3 days. I've been using it since July, so that's about 5 months.
My dog loves it. The older one gets excited just seeing it, and he licks it with pleasure. I tried applying it to his teeth and gums, but it's more convenient this way.
My little one also liked it, but he still has milk teeth, so it's not really effective.
I'm really sorry I didn't take a before photo. Just imagine a 5-year-old dog's teeth – they're all yellow from the roots, with plaque and all that.
And now, look at this. There's only a small piece of that plaque left on the bottom.
I'm being honest, I'm blown away. Since I've never looked into his mouth before, I didn't think it was possible to get such results. His teeth look like a puppy's.
Honestly, you should try it too.)
I decided to stop using the gel on my dog at this point. First of all, the results are already pretty amazing. Secondly, I'm curious to know what's in it that makes it work so well. Either way, we're heading to the dog dentist soon to remove a small stone, and I'll find out how long it takes to pass the whole thing.
My dog seems to be feeling well. No issues with stool or stomach.
I'm not sure how long it took for the whole stone to pass, but it's definitely not within a month.

FINAL VERDICT:
The results are really impressive, and it doesn't matter what's in it - it's way better than the alternative, which is laser removal under general anesthesia. The risk to the animal's life just isn't worth it.
I wish I could get a dentist's opinion on whether it's safe to use long-term, but I think these teeth will be okay for a while.
For now, if your pets have dental stones, I'd definitely recommend giving this a try!
