Online marketplaces have become so ingrained in our daily lives that buying from local online stores has become a rare occurrence.
It's way easier to make a purchase on a marketplace and get your order delivered to a nearby pickup point.
However, there are still online stores on the market that are trying to compete with marketplaces, although their life circumstances force them to collaborate with a marketplace.
For instance, I've encountered products from this store on Yandex Market multiple times, which can be quite convenient. In such cases, the product will be delivered to a Yandex pickup point.
If I need something, I check where I can buy it cheaper. And quite often, it turns out that the online trade offers the lowest price.
How does online trade differ from marketplaces?
Although the website's design resembles any large marketplace, the store's operation has several key differences that significantly impact the purchasing process.
Online trade only sells products it sources directly from suppliers. There's only one seller – the store itself. Online trade has its own pickup points, not franchises. Each order is manually processed by a manager. The store has its own loyalty program. No need to create a card or wallet to get a discount. Despite this, the store is generous with discounts and promotions. The discounts aren't fake, like 'was 10,000, but today it's 1,000 rubles.' However, I don't personally check the discount list.
I look for what I need, and if there's an additional discount, that's nice.
Occasionally, discounts are given for multiple purchases within one category.
Last spring, there were great discounts on fishing gear, and many purchases were made in that category.
Regularly, I receive a promo code for 500 ON-bonus points via email.
1 ON-bonus equals 1 ruble, but you can only redeem bonus points when making a purchase of 4,500 rubles or more.
So, if you're planning to buy multiple items, it's better to place a single order.
Additionally, you earn bonus points with each purchase, and when paying with Sberbank Online, you get an extra 2% of your purchase amount.
An important note for those with cashback cards – purchases made on online trade are categorized as 'supermarkets,' so if you have a cashback in this category, it's worth paying with your card.
Bonus points earned from purchases don't expire.
However, the bonus points given by the store do expire, but the expiration date is usually specified.
I don't purchase here as frequently as I do on marketplaces, but some purchases have turned out to be successful. And the price is quite attractive.
The store's product assortment is wide and varied, considering it sells its own products.
I've had a great experience with the shipping from this store, and I've never encountered any counterfeit products.

As for shipping, if it's ordered for pickup at a PVS, delivery is free.
Delivery to your home in the city is available for orders over 1500 rubles and is paid.
300 rubles is the cost for a non-goods item, 600 for a large-goods item.
So, I usually order at a PVS. In a PVS, you can inspect the goods before paying and refuse to receive them.
The store has several customer statuses - regular customer, VIP, super VIP.
The more the purchase amount and the lower the return percentage, the more privileges are available to the customer.
They promise closed sales, but I personally haven't caught any.
As for paying for orders, this is where I have my heartache and dissatisfaction with this site.
Look at how the site offers to pay for the order.
Almost every order has the option to pay upon receipt, which is convenient for me.
I think many have noticed that now the money for the returned goods comes no earlier than two days later.
So, this option is especially appealing.
I made the order, and then I went about my business.And then I got a call. As I've already written, here orders are handled manually by managers.
And then the manager calls me to tell me that they won't bring the order without prepayment.
Here's the bill to pay, pay within an hour or the order will be cancelled. Is this normal?
I totally agree that shipping items without prepayment can be a bit of a risk.
But then, it probably makes sense to set up the website so that you can't choose 'payment on delivery' when you're making a purchase.
Some marketplaces have successfully implemented this, as it turns out.
But, honestly, I haven't heard any other explanation besides 'those are the rules' and 'check the rules.'
I felt like I was at a bazaar, 'buy or leave' - that's how overwhelming the negative feedback was.
It's completely random as to what they'll ship without prepayment and what they won't.
They'll ship two pairs of sunglasses without prepayment, but if they ship a third, you have to pay for all three - because, of course, they have rules!
Needless to say, I didn't end up paying for anything, so I ordered one pair from my husband's account and two from mine - and it actually worked out pretty well.
But if you do decide to cancel a pre-paid order, the refund will take anywhere from 10 to 30 days - that's what they told me over the phone.
Thanks, but with a service like this, I can guarantee that I'll never prepay again - except for the small stuff that I'll inevitably end up buying.
I think that if they do require prepayment, they should remove the option to choose 'payment on delivery.'
Then it's up to me to decide whether or not I want to prepay for the item.
The only thing they told me was that if you've made more than three orders, all subsequent orders will only be shipped with prepayment - which is basically a scam and won't fly with anyone.
If I want to deal with the customer support team, I'll just go to the regular store.
And to make matters worse, they once sent me the wrong invoice link and I had to go back and forth to get my money back.
And, of course, they only returned my money on the same day because I was persistent, but the whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth.
You can't even pick up part of your order from a PVS (Point of Sale) - otherwise, the rest of the order will be cancelled.
And if they call you to let you know that you have two days left to pick up your order, or if they suddenly receive a defective item, they'll call you to ask what to do with it.
Are there people out there who want to buy defective items at full price?
You can even place an order, and then they'll call you a day before the delivery date to tell you that the item is out of stock.
Even though the item is still listed as 'in stock' on the website.
Apparently, all processes are handled manually, so it just happens sometimes.
And if you think that the store will somehow compensate you for the inconvenience, forget about it - all they'll say is 'have a nice day.'
This kind of service was actually normal back in the days when online shopping was still in its infancy.
With the number of PVS they have and the volume of orders they process daily, it's high time they automated the process.
The constant calls from the customer support team are just annoying, and if I have a choice, I'll choose to shop somewhere else.
I would only recommend this store if you're looking for the lowest prices and there are no other options available - and, ironically, they do have some good deals on fishing gear.
I've gotta say, the customer support from GreenTech has been top-notch. They responded to my questions via email within a few hours, which is way faster than I'm used to. I asked about the return policy and they even sent me a link to the process, so I know exactly what to do if I need to send it back. I'm really impressed with how easy it is to get help when I need it.
