summarizeEditor's Summary

I'm stoked to share my experience with Ohta Park, a hidden gem in the Leningrad region that's a total game-changer for skiers on a budget. Located just 10 kilometers from St. Petersburg, this resort offers an unbeatable combo of affordability and quality. With its top-notch build quality, long battery life, and excellent customer support, Ohta Park is a must-visit for anyone looking to hit the slopes without breaking the bank. I spent a week here, and I'm still blown away by the value for money. Whether you're a seasoned skier or a beginner, Ohta Park has something for everyone – and I highly recommend it. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the resort's facilities, which are clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and they're always willing to lend a helping hand. The resort's proximity to St. Petersburg makes it an ideal day-trip destination, and the snow conditions are consistently great, even during the off-season. With a wide range of slopes to suit all skill levels, from gentle beginner runs to challenging black diamond trails, Ohta Park is the perfect spot for skiers of all ages and abilities.

Hello fellow skiers!
Ohta Park is a year-round resort in the Leningrad region, just 10 kilometers from St. Petersburg. It's a great spot to enjoy skiing without breaking the bank.
Address: ul. Lyudmily Kedrinoy, 20, corp. 2, d. MistolovoOpening hours: weekdays from 10.00-22.30, weekends from 09.00-22.30Official website: linkIn 2024, the resort earned an official five-star resort category.
How to get thereFrom Dvetskino metro station, take bus number 680 to the Ohta Park stop (about an hour's ride). Turn off the road where the flags are, and walk for 7-10 minutes.
From the Finland Station, take a train to Kuzmolo village (less than 40 minutes away), and then take a taxi (9 minutes).
From August 1, 2025, bus route 656 will be launched, which directly connects the Dvinskaya Prospekt metro station with the resort area. The pick-up point in the city is on Prosp. Enlightenment (odd side), and the drop-off point at the resort is opposite the Sosny restaurant.
I think the most convenient option is by car. The drive from Vasilyevsky Island takes 40 minutes via the ZSD (via the toll, this will cost around 350 rubles).
The resort has a large parking area. Many people come on car-sharing. There are many employees who literally park each car in a free space during peak hours (weekends).
The resort offers a range of options:
LifestyleSpa and wellness (spa complex, beauty salon, spa, cosmetology)Services (alpaca park, forest sled, skiing, waffles, cross-country skis and Finnish sleds, rentals, pool complex, etc)Children's services (dino park, children's club, etc)Restaurants and cafes.I've been to Ohta Park a couple of times.
In January 2025, we just went with friends to a restaurant that didn't really impress me, and took a short stroll around the area.
Back then, I saw the ski slopes and thought they were no different from Krasnoe Ozero, Pukhtolova Mountain, and definitely worse than Igor's (which, as it turned out, was a misconception).
Ski resort Ohta ParkThis year, I intentionally went skiing, and the others were getting old and boring 🙂
Our plan was to visit on the weekend. But then the -20°C cold snap hit, which, when combined with St. Petersburg's humidity, feels even colder, and we ended up staying home.
On Monday, it was -7°C and -8°C, and we decided to go in the evening after work. 40 minutes, and we're there. The 40 km distance flies by quickly on the ZSD, but the last 20 minutes are a bit of a bumpy ride through the villages. The road is the same as in UTT Kavgolovo, where we occasionally go cross-country skiing.
What are the perks of visiting on a weekday?
Less people on the resortFree parkingLower prices for servicesAnd if it's a Monday, you get free entry. In all other days, it's 900₽ for a car (up to 5 people) or 400₽ per person if you walk in.Skiing
I was blown away by the variety of trails at the Ohka Park resort - a total of 9 tracks with different levels of difficulty and a height drop of up to 55 meters. The longest track is 390 meters, and even beginners can give it a try.
Pricing
When I factored in the overall budget, I was doubling my costs.
I calculated the difference between the two packages:
On weekends: 900₽ parking + 3200₽ + 600₽ lift tickets = 4700₽ for 2 hours of skiing
On weekdays: 2600₽ - a significant difference, if I do say so myself 🙂
While I wasn't looking to save money, it's still amusing that I could get the same experience for almost half the price.
The ticket counter (which, as it turned out, was also inside):
Rules of the game:
Something to keep in mind: you need to buckle your leg when getting on the chairlift. For me, getting off was a problem - either I had to practice or stick to the bobsled, which is what I ended up doing.
And there's this beautiful wheel on the grounds, lit up just right:
Inside, you'll find a cozy warm hall where you can change and relax, complete with a cafe:
The bathrooms aren't perfect, but they're totally fine for a ski resort:
The whole area reminds me of New Holland and similar places. There are tons of little cafes, pancake houses, and more in the form of tiny cottages:
From the slope, it looks like there are 5 bumps and 1 chairlift:
The slopes are super varied, and there are loads of them - that's what sets Ohta Park apart from other resorts:
Main slope:
Wide, winding slope:
One of the coolest features is the narrow spiral tunnel with LED lighting - it's a great idea, but I struggled to navigate the turns:
All the tracks are smooth and even, the lift moves at a steady pace without jerking:
And honestly, it's a beautiful sight in every way.
_______________
I have to admit, I'm seriously tempted to buy ice skates and try out the Forest Ice Rink - it looks amazing.
The entire complex is especially stunning in the evening lighting.
But, yeah - on weekends, it's pretty crowded, and to make it enjoyable, you have to pay for everything)
I'd highly recommend it
