Editor's Summary
I'm still obsessed with the O-Zone perfume from Sergio Tacchini - a classic scent that was all the rage about 20 years ago. Its tea-lemon fragrance is an addictive green floral explosion in a bottle. I recently snagged a 50ml bottle at a discount and was excited to revisit this nostalgic favorite. While it's not as widely available as it once was, O-Zone is still a great choice for those who love its unique aroma. With its Italian origins and EDT concentration, this perfume is a must-try for anyone who wants to experience a refreshing take on a classic.
Specifications
I still get a kick out of the O-Zone toilet water from Sergio Tacchini, which was super popular about 20 years ago.
I was absolutely obsessed with its tea-lemon scent back then – it was like a green floral explosion in a bottle.
When I stumbled upon a discount for this at Magnit cosmetics in early May, I just had to give in to my nostalgia and grab a 50ml bottle.
Product Name: O-ZoneConcentration: EDTBrand: Sergio TacchiniVolume: 50mlYear of Release: 2000Aromatic Family: Floral GreenCountry of Origin: ItalyO-Zone toilet water comes in various sizes, including 30ml, 50ml, and even 100ml, as far as I know.
Interestingly, the packaging differs depending on the volume. For instance, the 30ml bottle has a more elongated shape, while the 50ml one is rounded and, in my opinion, more visually appealing.
As for the color schemes, they’re the same for both sizes. You’ve got the familiar mint-green cap and transparent glass bottle. The 30ml bottle has a lilac stripe around the neck and a matching lilac border on the curved edge of the bottle.
Initially, the bottle came with a transparent plastic box, complete with a protective film and a sticker with the translation.
There’s a reason my hand instinctively reaches for this scent. In my youth, it was like nothing I’d ever smelled before – a truly unique and unexplainable experience.
I was hooked on its freshness and couldn’t get enough of it. I’d had other green tea-inspired scents, but O-Zone was the best. It was explosive, sparkling, and even a little aquatic.
How I see it now, at 39?
There’s no aquatic vibe at all. My sense of smell picks up on this scent as a floral, green fragrance with a hint of spice (thanks to the lavender).

Top notes:
Bergamot, lemon, orange
Middle notes:
Rose, lavender, jasmine
Base notes:
Green tea, white cedar
Now, I don’t associate O-Zone with that classic summer heat smell. Instead, in the heat, the earthy herbal note really comes through, which isn’t exactly what I’m looking for.
At the start, I catch a whiff of lemon zest, but it’s fleeting – then the lavender and dried chamomile kick in. Luckily, the green tea keeps the scent fresh.
But when it’s chilly or post-rainy, the scent transforms completely. The citrus notes are way more prominent, and it’s all about the citrus zest. And there’s a lot of green tea!
So, I wear Sergio Tacchini O-Zone up to 20 degrees Celsius and ideally on a cloudy day. That’s when the scent really shines.
As for longevity, I’m impressed – it lasts really well on clothes for several hours and up to 4-5 hours on skin. The sillage is medium.
As for the time of year, I think O-Zone is perfect for spring and early summer, but not ideal for hot weather. It’s ideal for humid weather, to be honest.
If you’re a fan of citrus scents with a bright green tea note, I highly recommend Sergio Tacchini O-Zone – 5/5 stars!
