We headed back from Veduchi, and since some locals had recommended checking out the Nyaloi Waterfalls, we decided to give it a shot. Visiting waterfalls in the dead of winter, especially in sub-zero temperatures, didn't exactly sound like the most appealing idea. But most of our group was up for it, so we parked at the mountain tower and made our way to the waterfalls.
As you enter the gate, you'll find some quirky vendors selling local goods. You can pick up colorful carpets, leather and fur items, and even papakhas in various sizes and colors. The prices are surprisingly reasonable, considering the touristy location.
Getting onto the territory involves crossing a bridge that spans the Argun River at a pretty impressive height.
The view from the bridge is simply breathtaking, with the Chanti-Argun River flowing below and creating a stunning gorge.

There are cabins and gazebos on the base, so you can come and stay overnight, and even grill some shashlik in the fresh air.It's a 723-step walk for an adult man, 900 steps for a woman, and 1253 steps for a kid to the main waterfall.

As we climb up and head towards the main waterfall, I'm blown away by the sheer power and beauty of this natural wonder.
The 32-meter-high waterfall is even more breathtaking in person - the photo doesn't do it justice.
I was pleasantly surprised to find that the Nyaloi Waterfalls are just as stunning in any season.
And in the winter, it's no less picturesque than when the water is cascading down the rocks.
