Hello everyone!
I'm super stoked to share my experience with this coffee machine, which has become an essential in my kitchen.
I got the Nivona CafeRomatica NICR 756 as a gift on New Year's, and it's been making my mornings (and my guests') for the past 2.5 years.
After doing some research, I chose Nivona because of its unique features and reasonable price point.
I bought it from DNS for 49k back then, and the prices were a bit more reasonable than they are now.

This coffee machine lets you use either whole beans or pre-ground coffee, and it even comes with an automatic cappuccino maker and recipe options - you can even create your own custom recipes!
Unboxing.
The machine came wrapped in its original box with foam inserts, which was great. Inside the box, I also found a separate box with all the documentation, user manual, and some additional accessories.
The manual is super detailed, with everything clearly laid out. It shows you how to use it and how to maintain it, even though it's an automatic coffee machine - you still need to clean it regularly.
The device's layout.
The coffee machine itself is pretty straightforward. The menu is super intuitive, with two easy-to-use turn-and-click buttons, a cup holder, and a steam wand (yes, without a milk container).
The top compartment's for the coffee grounds, and to the side is where you'll find the ground coffee. On the left is the water reservoir - not the most convenient, but I'll get to that later. At the bottom is the drip tray and the used coffee grounds container.Functionality.
One of the things I love about this machine is how easy it is to make programmed drinks - I'm talking espresso, lungo, Americano, cappuccino, latte macchiato. You can even make steamed milk or hot water separately, or just serve up a hot cup of water if that's your thing. Plus, you can save one of your own custom recipes for easy access later.I also appreciate that you can customize the built-in recipes - adjust the volume, strength, milk percentage, and temperature to your liking.
And if you do end up creating your own custom recipe, you can even give it a name that makes sense to you.

The coffee grinder has a switch underneath the lid, so you can choose the grind size to your liking. You can also adjust the brew strength, both in the recipe menu and in the main menu.Adjusting the brew volume is a breeze – just turn the button in the recipe menu or the main menu.Temperature control is also available, right in the recipe menu. And if you're a fan of frothy milk, you'll love that this machine can froth both hot and cold milk, or a combination of both. The maximum brew volume is 360ml, which is perfect for a couple of cups. There's also an automatic cleaning feature for the frothing pitcher.Want to make two cups at once? No problem – this machine can do that. The coffee grounds container has sensors that detect when it's full. And let's not forget the water sensors – they're right there in the image. But, one thing that's a bit confusing is the smartphone app control – it's not super intuitive, and you still need to physically interact with the machine to get the coffee just right.xa0
What's missing from the feature set
No coffee level sensors in the hopper (you can start brewing, then it'll tell you to add coffee beans later, but it can't warn you beforehand)No cup warming featureMenu and controls
I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it is to navigate the menu with just two rotary buttons. The interface is super intuitive – you can scroll through the menu using the buttons and confirm your selections with a press.
The main screen shows icons for the drinks you can make, along with coffee bean symbols that indicate the strength and volume of each drink. You can adjust these parameters quickly using the buttons on either side of the display.
The menu also includes system settings and recipe customization options.
You can also check the number of cups brewed and the cleaning status of the system.
Cleaning the Espresso Machine.
I love how easy it is to clean this machine. It's literally a breeze. After each use of the cappuccinator, the machine itself prompts you to rinse it, and every time you turn it on and off, the system gets a quick rinse. It's a big plus!
But that's just the daily maintenance we're talking about. You'll also need to deep clean the machine with some specialized cleaning solutions every now and then, and the machine will remind you when it's time to do so.
Check out the pics - you can see the machine just cleaned the system and cappuccinator, and it's going to be a while before it needs any descaling. From the menu, you can check when the system needs cleaning. And let's be real, we're talking about cleaning the system, cappuccinator, and descaling the machine. Of course, all of this is automated - just pop in a cleaning tablet and... voila!
But something still needs to be cleaned by hand. For example, the brewing block needs to be rinsed under running water. I've seen that they can be taken apart and cleaned inside, but I've never done that myself.
And what I did take apart - there's a small lid on the inside with screws, where coffee residue and mold can accumulate. I also occasionally unscrew it and give it a rinse.
For this, I prepared a regular brush and syringe so I could get in there easily. Also, I cleaned the accessible parts of the frothing pitcher - everything comes off really easily and gets cleaned under a stream of water.
Before cleaning the machine:
Cleaning the drip tray is a regular task, but it's not a hassle. Automatic frother.
I specifically chose a model without a dedicated milk compartment. I thought it would be an extra part to clean, and if I over-poured milk, I'd have to pour it back into the packet? That just raised more questions than answers. So, I opted for a model where you can insert the end of the tube directly into the milk packet or any other container to pour the milk into. I've never regretted that decision.
Preparing drinks.
First, I check for coffee grounds, and if there aren't any, I add some.
I've gone with the Latte Macchiato, and I'm setting the volume to
Еще варианты, эспрессо и капучино: Final impression:I'm really loving this machine - it's not just for making coffee, but also for warming up water (if you can't use a kettle or the stove for some reason), frothing milk, or even whipping up a foamy topping, like for hot chocolate or a matcha latte.
I remembered I promised to share my thoughts on the water tank's design: the sloping bottom is super convenient for pouring water from the tap, but the water tank itself is a bit of a hassle to remove and refill. It would be nice if it were easier to access. Thanks for reading, and I hope you have a great day!
