Nivea Rose Body Wash

I'm obsessed with this body wash - it's super gentle and leaves my skin feeling silky smooth. The rich lather and calming rose scent make it perfect for daily use, and it's not too harsh on my skin even when I use it twice a day. I've tried a lot of body washes, but this one's the real deal, and it's a great value for money.

I'm Done with Nivea's Cream Gels - Is It the Fix Price Effect?

summarizeEditor's Summary

I've been a fan of Nivea body washes for years, but my experience with the cream and peach gel has been hit-or-miss. I recently picked up the Nivea cream and rose body wash at Fix Price, and I'm here to share my honest thoughts. The price was a steal at 99 rubles, but I've noticed that prices at Fix Price are rising quickly. Is this product worth the hype, or is it just a case of the Fix Price effect? I've been using it for a few weeks now, and I have to say that the product is decent, but it's not without its flaws. The scent is creamy and floral, although I couldn't pick up on the rose notes, and the packaging is simple and understated, making it a great addition to any bathroom. However, the product can be a bit drying on my skin, especially if I use it too frequently, and the rose notes are almost undetectable, which is a shame considering the name.

Nivea Cream and Rose Body Wash Review
I've been a loyal fan of Nivea body washes for a long time, but my experience with the cream and peach gel has been a favorite since 2008. However, the one I'm reviewing now was new to me when I found it at Fix Price. The Nivea cream and rose body wash caught my attention, and I decided to give it a try.
Before I dive into my review, I want to provide some background information. I bought this product at Fix Price, and I haven't seen it anywhere else so far. The price was 99 rubles, which is relatively affordable. However, I've noticed that prices at Fix Price are rising quickly, and I think Nivea products are generally overpriced.
The Nivea cream and rose body wash comes in a 250ml bottle, which is a standard size for most body washes. The packaging is simple and understated, which I appreciate. The cap is easy to open and close, and it's designed to prevent spills.
One of the first things I noticed about this product is the scent. The Nivea cream and rose body wash has a creamy and floral aroma, but I couldn't pick up on the rose notes. The smell is generic and hard to pin down, which is a bit disappointing.
When I used the product in the shower, I was surprised by the strong, sweet, and plastic-like smell it left on my skin. I've used Nivea gels for years, but this one has me questioning even that. The smell is unpleasant and lingered on my skin for a while.
I've started using this product as a makeshift bubble bath, but even that's not worth the hassle. The foam creation is top-notch, but the smell is just too overpowering. When I used a loofah, the foam was puffy and soft, but also kinda scratchy.
Rinsing off the product is easy with a lot of water, but you'll be left with a soapy residue if you don't rinse thoroughly. The impact on my skin is actually pretty bad – this gel dries me out, and I really feel like I need to moisturize after using it.
My experience with this product has been disappointing, to say the least. I'd be lying if I said this shower gel is refreshing. It's definitely not a summer gel, both in texture and scent. I was really surprised by the strong, sweet, and plastic-like smell it leaves on my skin.
On the manufacturer's website, they claim this gel has a beautiful floral scent, expensive almond oil, makes your skin soft and smooth, is PH neutral, has no microplastics, and has a biodegradable formula. However, I just can't confirm any of those benefits. I'm no scientist, so I wouldn't know how to check the PH level or microplastic content. It's just a marketing trick to make customers feel better about their eco-friendliness.
As for making my skin soft and smooth, I think that's just a given – I mentioned that already. And the 'expensive almond oil' isn't doing its job, if you ask me.
I'm giving this product 3 stars only because maybe it's my water, but this gel smells terrible when I use it. If I add up all the negatives, though, three stars is being generous.
I really think Nivea changed their formula, because I had a completely different experience with this gel just a year and a half ago. It was actually pleasant. I recently bought their new Cream and Apricot gel, and that one has the same problem – it smells horrible when it comes into contact with water. That was definitely not the case before.
One thing that really bothers me is how overpriced Nivea body washes are these days. For the mediocre quality they offer, they're definitely not worth it.
I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone. If you're looking for a good body wash, I'd suggest looking elsewhere. There are plenty of other options out there that are better quality and more affordable.
