Hello!
I'm excited to share my thoughts on this Korean sunscreen from Needly. I've been using it for a while now, and I'm thoroughly impressed with its performance.
Description:
This sunscreen from Needly has a vegan formula that not only moisturizes your skin but also effectively protects it from the sun, acting as a shield against UVA and UVB rays. It contains hyaluronic acid, ceramides, and natural oils for optimal hydration. The lightweight texture glides smoothly onto the skin, leaving no white residue behind. It's perfect for daily use.
Needly Vegan Mild Moisture Sun Sunscreen
Where to buy: Golden Apple.Price: around 2000 rubles. It's often discounted, and you can grab it for 1000-1300 rubles (currently on sale for -50% at Golden Apple).
Volume: 50 ml.
Packaging: soft plastic tube with a lid. There was also a box with all the essential information.Product information from the packaging:Scent: the product has a light, non-intrusive aroma that doesn't cause any discomfort.Texture: creamy, extremely lightweight, almost like a milk. The sunscreen applies smoothly to the skin, not leaving any white marks behind.
My skin type at the time of use: normal, prone to dryness and flakiness.
I used this sunscreen while taking systemic retinoids and for several months after stopping them. When you're on retinoids, your skin gets extremely dry, and you need to protect it from the sun at all costs.
I replaced my previous favorite SPF from Yadah with Needly's vegan mild moisture sun cream, and I'm thoroughly impressed.
I applied the cream generously all over my face and neck on clean skin after toner and hydrating fluid. The cream absorbs quickly and sets on the skin. I've had SPF products that took 15 minutes to absorb, but this one doesn't.Needly's SPF gives my skin a healthy, dewy glow. If that's not your thing, you can set it with powder. I'm completely happy with how it looks – my skin looks great. The glow fades after a couple of hours.
As a base under makeup, the SPF also performed well – nothing settled or oxidized on my skin. I didn't need to reapply the cream throughout the day – I tried to stay out of the sun, but if I did find myself in the sun, I'd top it up with a Shik sunscreen spray.Otherwise, a single application lasted me the entire day, assuming I wasn't in the sun all day. This is thanks to the new-generation filters that provide long-lasting protection.Needly's SPF is easy to apply, feels comfortable all day, doesn't dry out my skin, provides basic hydration (thanks to hyaluronic acid and ceramides), and offers excellent protection against UVA and UVB rays.At the end of the day, I washed my face with a gentle cleanser without a moisturizing product. However, I was on a course of systemic retinoids at the time, so I can't say how it would behave on problem skin – whether it would clog pores. Typically, you're advised to remove SPF more thoroughly with makeup remover. I had no issues with my skin.
I'm not using the SPF now that it's winter and I have about a third of the bottle left. I plan to go back to it in February.
