Editor's Summary
I've been using Natura Siberica's RE-GROW Strengthening & Hair Growth Activator for a few weeks now, and I'm really impressed with the results. The product has a pleasant scent that doesn't irritate my scalp, which is a big plus for me. However, I do find it a bit tricky to control the amount of product I use, which can be a bit wasteful. I've noticed that my hair is looking healthier and stronger, and I'm excited to see how it continues to progress. I've been using it 2-3 times a week, massaging it into my scalp for 2-3 minutes before rinsing. I've also been using it in conjunction with other hair care products, including shampoos and conditioners. Overall, I think it's a solid addition to my hair care routine, and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a budget-friendly option.
Specifications
Hello everyone!
I'm still exploring the [hair evolution] lineup from Natura Siberica, and after a successful scalp scrub, I picked up a few more products. Today I'm sharing my thoughts on the 'RE-GROW. Strengthening & Hair Growth Activator' and how I use it.
Brand: Natura Siberica, Russia.
Volume: 120 ml.
Price: around 200 rubles.
Where to buy: Apoteka.ru, Zolotoe Yabloko.
You can buy the product in offline stores where Siberica is sold or use online services like Apoteka.ru. The [hair evolution] lineup offers products for different hair needs. The blue series is for smoothing, the purple-violet series is for restoration, the mint series is for moisturizing, the lemon-yellow series provides a detox effect, and the orange series, which this product belongs to, helps with hair growth. There's a shampoo, conditioner, and hair spray in this lineup as well.
My scalp: normal type, not sensitive, and generally problem-free. I need a scalp exfoliator for strengthening and growing hair.
● From the manufacturer
I've been using the RE-GROW scalp activator for a week now, and it's been a game-changer for my scalp. It's like a deep clean, removing all the stubborn impurities and leaving my scalp feeling fresh and clean. It's also got a great formula that balances out the moisture and oil levels, which is perfect for my scalp type. Plus, it's got some amazing ingredients that really stimulate hair growth. The ginseng root extract is a real standout - it's got some amazing properties that help strengthen my hair follicles and reduce breakage. And let's not forget the caffeine - it's like a wake-up call for my scalp, getting all those dormant hair follicles to start producing again. And the biotin is just the icing on the cake, really speeding up hair growth when I use it regularly.
● IngredientsThe formula is quite impressive, with a blend of organic Panax ginseng root extract, Sophora flavescens extract, chamomilla recutita flower extract, viburnum sargentii flower/leaf extract, and crepis sibirica extract, all working together to create a powerful scalp treatment. And let's not forget the other ingredients - hydrogenated starch hydrolysate, glycerin, hydroxyethylcellulose, lactic acid, salicylic acid, caffeine, biotin, benzyl alcohol, benzoic acid, sorbic acid, citric acid, and parfum.
● PackagingThe product comes in a sturdy cardboard box with a ton of information printed around the edges. It's definitely a nice touch, and it's clear that the company is committed to transparency.
I was surprised by how neatly the product came in a small, orange plastic bottle with a long nozzle and a tiny screw-on cap. You need to turn the bottle upside down and press the sides to get the product out - no dosing control.
Consistency
When I looked at the peeling product, it was a pretty thick gel that didn't run and held its shape, but turned into a thin layer when I applied it and absorbed quickly.
Aroma
The smell is pretty similar to regular acid serums - light, slightly sour, nice, and natural. I hardly noticed it when I used it, and it lingered on my hair after washing.
Usage and Shelf Life
It's really hard to control the amount used, and you can only do it by touch in places that are hard to see. The bottle is opaque, but I could remove the top and check inside if I wanted. In my case, it lasted for 2.5 months, as I used it once a week. I store the opened product for a year.
Application
Divide your hair into 6-8 sections. Apply the peeling product to the sections. Gently massage it into your scalp and leave it on for 10 minutes. Rinse with plenty of water and then use the RE-GROW hair tonic-spray. For the best results, use it with other products from the RE-GROW series.
I've been using the pre-shampoo treatment as directed, which means applying it to dry, dirty hair. The instructions on the bottle and the product name itself make this pretty clear.
After applying the treatment, I distribute it evenly through my hair, massage it in, and leave it on for 10 minutes. Then, according to the manufacturer's plan, I'm supposed to rinse it out and follow up with a toner-spray from the same line. However, the toner doesn't stay on for 10 minutes before being rinsed out either.
I'm not too concerned about fitting the treatment into a traditional shampoo routine, since I've been using it on my own schedule. I apply it to dry, dirty scalp and leave it on for 10-15 minutes.
I'm happy to report that this scalp treatment doesn't irritate my skin at all - no burning, redness, or itching. The gel-like consistency applies evenly to my scalp, doesn't run off, and hits the spot where it's needed. Of course, it also helps to exfoliate the roots, but that's not a bad thing. I've got a pretty insensitive scalp, so I've been leaving it on for up to 15 minutes without any issues. After the recommended time, my scalp looks normal, with no signs of irritation or any aggressive effects. Next, I rinse the treatment. It actually rinses off easily while I'm washing my hair with shampoo. I don't need any extra time for rinsing, and the gel leaves my scalp easily without any residue. When I run my scalp under water, I can feel the difference - it's definitely working! My scalp becomes more sensitive to water temperature afterwards. I then use my usual gentle shampoo. I wouldn't recommend using this treatment with a scalp scrub or a hair mask - the exfoliating treatment needs its own day, or better yet, a week, before you can use another product. However, a soothing scalp mask could be a good addition. In fact, it's similar to using a chemical exfoliant on your face - this product makes your scalp more receptive and friendly to subsequent care. I've enjoyed using it in conjunction with my shampoo.I've been using Kaaral's hydrating mask, which is silicone-free and can be applied to the scalp area. To be honest, I've been reaching for my conditioner or a quick hair mask for length more often. After using any tonics, I don't bother with subsequent rinsing, as most hair growth products are meant to be left on for an extended period.
During and after blow-drying, I haven't experienced any discomfort. My scalp sensitivity has disappeared, and I haven't noticed any redness or damage. My hair looks clean and shiny.
Of course, the overall appearance of my hair depends on my post-care routine, so I wouldn't say that the peeling has made a huge difference in the visual or sensory aspects. Moving forward, I can use my hair growth product – nicotinic acid or esycine – without issue. I did experiment with each product separately to ensure I wasn't allergic to any of them, and only then started combining them. I don't rinse off my hair growth products.
● Results
My hair looks great on the outside, but as I mentioned earlier, that's largely due to my chosen hair care routine. As for my scalp, I chose this peeling product specifically for hair growth and strengthening, not to address any particular issues. I wasn't expecting it to extend the freshness of my hair or provide better shampoo cleaning either. That's exactly what happened – the peeling has a minimal effect on extra cleanliness and freshness. However, the overall state of my hair and its growth have definitely improved. I started taking photos after a few uses, as I believe any product needs time to settle in. The photos below show the change in my hair over a month of using the peeling product and nicotinic acid, as per the schedule I described earlier.
The hair growth for me is amazing - I've got a lot of thickness and new hair coming in. My hair looks healthier and more robust. I didn't notice any negative effects during or after using it. Verdict. Overall, I'm really happy with the Natura Siberica hair evolution "RE-GROW. Strengthening & hair growth" scalp activator, even though I didn't use it on its own. When I paired it with other growth-promoting products and a solid skincare routine, the activator gave me incredible hair growth and a healthy-looking scalp. I highly recommend it!
