I discovered MyBook electronic library back in October 2017. I signed up, got a gift code, and managed to read books from the standard subscription catalog for a couple of weeks without paying a single cent. After the trial period, I dropped the app for about six months, but somehow I kept coming back. And now, since summer 2018, I've been a regular MyBook reader, and I'm excited to share my experience with you.
To be honest, I was a bit confused by the two separate threads about MyBook on Irecommend. But after thinking about it, I chose the 'Websites' category because, at its core, MyBook is a website with mobile apps for iOS and Android.

We don't sell books or force you to download them; we let you read them freely, without limits, and across different devices. All you need to do is sign up for a subscription.The website has a really sleek, modern design, which is a pleasure to use. The interface is user-friendly, and if you encounter any issues, there's a 'Help' button at the bottom of the page with answers to all your questions as a new user.

If you're only interested in one book in the catalog and want to read it, you can form a 14-day book rental. To be honest, I've never used this feature myself, so I can't say anything definitive.
Payment
You can pay for the subscription with a credit card, through PayPal, or through your mobile operator.
MyBook e-librarySince I downloaded the app on my phone, it's way more convenient to pay through the operator. I'm grateful to MyBook for offering such a simple and secure way to pay, or I wouldn't be able to use their library (I don't like showing my card). Before making a payment, the operator will always ask for your consent to deduct the amount from your account, so you're in control the whole time.
As for the cost of subscriptions, 549 rubles is a significant amount for me, roughly the price of a paperback book. So, initially, I bought the standard subscription, which cost 199 rubles, then switched to premium six months ago, but I've never paid the full amount. MyBook usually offers their readers discounts of 20-40% every month, which is really nice and doesn't hit our family budget too hard.

MyBook's e-library is organized into categories, so you can find a book to your taste. Almost every day, there are interesting book collections: themed, from bloggers, from writers, new releases, and so on.

Most Russian-language book editions from LitRes bookstore end up in MyBook catalog. They have direct agreements with authors and publishers. Rights holders regularly get paid from us, as per the agreement with the publisher and/or LitRes.
I've added a book to my 'My Books' section by tapping the plus sign, and then downloaded it onto my phone. The book I downloaded on my device is accessible offline – I've tested it myself. I went on a trip to a rural area with no mobile signal, and I was still able to read the downloaded books without any issues.

I really like how the site is constantly evolving and improving, with new features and options popping up all the time. The creators and developers genuinely care about their product and strive to make it as user-friendly as possible.
If you read more than two books a month, MyBook is definitely the way to go. For me, it's a game-changer, and I only see pros in this e-book library. Although, I have to admit, one con is that MyBook can be super addictive – once you sign up, you'll be hooked!
