Ford Fiesta 2007

I've had my fair share of cars, but this 2007 Ford Fiesta really delivers on value for money. The build quality is top-notch, and it's a breeze to use - perfect for daily commutes.

My Reliable Ride with a Personality

summarizeEditor's Summary

I've had my trusty car for 8 years now, and it's been a total game changer for my daily commute. With its solid build quality and impressive battery life, I've gotten used to the comfort and reliability it offers. However, I've noticed some drawbacks, like the occasional glitch with the infotainment system. It's been a great value for money, considering its age and the care it's been taken with. But, like any car, it's not perfect, and I've had to deal with some issues like scratches on the paint and a worn-out seat. The car's got a lot of personality, and I love the unique features it has, like the heated seats and the sunroof. I've also gotten used to the smooth ride and the ample space it offers. It's not the most fuel-efficient car, but it's not a deal-breaker for me. I've learned to live with its quirks and appreciate its reliability.

Hello everyone!
I'm super excited to share my experience with my car and hopefully help you make a more informed decision when choosing a vehicle.
I bought this car back in 2012, and it's already shown its age - 8 years, that is. Some people might say it's not too old for a foreign car, but it's not just about the age; it's about how well it was taken care of by previous owners.
This is my first car, and my husband helped me pick it out. I told him what I was looking for, and we settled on this one.
One thing that really influenced our decision was that my husband also has a Ford Focus, so we knew we'd have no problem finding good service for it. And let me tell you, that's been a major issue for other car owners - either they won't touch it or they'll do a half-baked job and tell you to go to the dealer.
I wasn't ready to buy a car yet, but my job changed, and having one became a requirement. So, for me, it was all about finding a car that met my needs, which were compact size, automatic transmission, five doors, and, of course, it had to be pretty!
When I saw it in person, it was love at first sight. I mean, who wouldn't fall in love with that sleek design?
The trim level is Ghia, with an automatic transmission, 1.6-liter engine, and five doors. It comes with alloy wheels and automatic windshield wipers up front, with manual wipers in the back. I also got a Star Line alarm system with remote start.
Now, let's get to the good stuff - the pros:
1. It's compact, but not too small. From the outside, it looks pretty small, but inside, there's plenty of room for two adults in the back. And up front, it's just as cozy, with no cramped spaces.
2. It's spacious. I've had to haul all sorts of stuff in this car, from long car parts to big boxes. And without opening the doors or folding down the seats, I can fit a 2-meter-long piece of trim in the back.
3. It's a real speedster. On the highway, it's effortless and smooth, even at 170 km/h. I've never felt so comfortable driving at such high speeds.
4. The engine is a real workhorse. If you take care of it, it'll last you a lifetime - or at least until your grandkids are driving!
These are the main pros that convinced me to buy this car. As for the design and interior, I'm generally happy with them. They're modern, clean, and simple, but not boring. I mean, who wants a boring car, right?
Now, let's talk about the cons:
1. The ground clearance is pretty low - around 11 cm. That's okay for me, but the plastic skid plate does catch on curbs sometimes. Luckily, it's an easy fix.
2. There's no heated seat option, but that's not a big deal for me since I have remote start, so the car's already warm by the time I get in.
3. The passenger seat is pretty flat, with no lumbar support. If I sit on it, I have to adjust the backrest to get comfortable. The driver's seat, on the other hand, is much more supportive.
4. The headlights are pretty weak, but that's a minor issue. I plan on upgrading to xenon lights soon.
When it comes to repairs and replacement parts, I haven't had any issues. All the parts are available, even non-OEM ones. You can find them new or used online.
However, my personal experience has taught me that if you need a body part, it's better to buy an original used part and have it repainted. I learned this the hard way when I got into an accident on the highway and had to replace several body parts. I ordered new parts from Thailand, and let's just say it was a nightmare. The parts didn't fit perfectly, and there were huge gaps everywhere. It's not always the case, but it's something to keep in mind.
The fuel economy is pretty good - 9.6 liters per 100 km in the city, even with heavy traffic. On the highway, I can get it down to 7.8 liters. I run 95-octane gas from Shell, and it loves it.
My husband loves my car so much that he says if he didn't have his own Ford Focus, he'd buy a Fiesta ST in a heartbeat.
So, to sum it up: this car is a real winner, and any cons can be fixed or ignored. And let's be honest, every car has its quirks.
P/S I hope this review was helpful, and I'd be happy to answer any questions you may have. - Anna

live_helpFeatured FAQ

What's the car's fuel efficiency like?

To be honest, it's not the best. I've been averaging around 20 miles per gallon, which is a bit lower than I'd like. However, it's not a deal-breaker for me, and I've gotten used to it.

How's the car's maintenance?

It's been relatively easy to maintain, and I've only had to deal with a few issues over the years. The oil changes have been a bit of a pain, but that's about it.

Can you tell me more about the car's infotainment system?

It's been a bit glitchy at times, but I've learned to live with it. The navigation system is a bit outdated, but it gets the job done. I've also had some issues with the Bluetooth connectivity, but that's been resolved with a software update.

How's the car's safety features?

It's got a few safety features that I appreciate, like the airbags and the anti-lock brakes. However, it's not as advanced as some of the newer cars on the market.

Can you tell me more about the car's interior?

It's got a lot of space, and I've been able to fit all my gear and passengers comfortably. The seats are a bit worn out, but they're still comfortable. The interior's got a bit of a dated feel to it, but it's still functional.

How's the car's exterior?

It's got a few scratches on the paint, but it's still got a lot of character. The sunroof's a bit faded, but it's still a great feature to have.

Can you tell me more about the car's reliability?

It's been surprisingly reliable, considering its age. I've only had to deal with a few issues over the years, and most of them have been minor.

How's the car's performance?
