A Life-Changing Book by an Endocrinologist: My 7-Year Weight Loss Journey
Hello everyone!
If you're reading this review, chances are you're struggling with excess weight. Let me start by sharing my own story, feel free to skip it if you want.
My Story...
I've always been around 46-47 kg my whole life. I was one of those people who could eat anything and not gain weight. But things changed in my life - I went through a lot of stress, switched jobs, and ended up in a higher position. I didn't even notice how I'd gained 11 pounds. At 154 cm, I looked like a balloon and couldn't fit into any of my clothes. I thought I'd just gained a bit of weight, but when I saw a photo from an event, I was shocked - was that really me? That's when I started a series of diets, home workouts, and restrictions. But nothing seemed to work - I'd lose 1-2 kg, but as soon as I deviated from the diet, the weight would creep back up to 58 kg. I was at my wit's end, visited doctors and endocrinologists, and even spent thousands of dollars on supplements. I'd lost hope until a girl from a community I'm part of shared a book by Dr. Maxim Kuznetsov, "Burn Your Diet. How to Eat to Lose Weight, Not Your Mind." I thought, why not? I'd tried everything else, so I bought the e-book on LitRes.
About the Author
This book wasn't written by some trendy blogger or guru, but a real doctor, a seasoned endocrinologist with years of experience who specializes in weight correction - Maxim Kuznetsov. That's what convinced me to buy and read the book.
Maxim Kuznetsov is a doctor-endocrinologist, a weight correction specialist with years of experience, and the author of the popular blog medic_smith with over 1.1 million followers.
About the Book
This isn't a boring guide or a dry factsheet - it's an engaging story about a woman named Klavdia who realized she'd gained too much weight and was trying to lose it.
I've got to say, the story of Klavdia is pretty relatable. I mean, she's tried just about everything to lose weight - fad diets, colon cleanses, excessive exercise, and even some dodgy supplements. But the thing is, she's not alone. We've all been there, and it's a real wake-up call when you realize that all these methods aren't just not working, but are actually harming your health. This book will teach you why nutrition correction is key to weight loss, and give you a solid starting point for making some much-needed changes.
What I love about this book is that it's not just a diet plan or a quick fix - it's a lifestyle change. It's about learning how to eat in a way that nourishes your body and helps you reach your weight loss goals. And the best part is, it's not restrictive or boring. You can still enjoy your favorite foods and drinks, as long as you're mindful of portion sizes and balance.
I was skeptical at first, but the more I read, the more I realized how much I'd been doing wrong. I thought I knew it all about nutrition, but it turns out I had no idea. This book opened my eyes and showed me that it's actually much simpler than I thought - for healthy weight loss, you just need to follow a few basic rules.
The book is structured into chapters, and each one ends with a commentary from the author, Maxim Kuznetsov. He breaks down all the common mistakes people make when trying to lose weight and smoothly leads you to the key principles of nutrition.
My takeaways
I've spent years trying every diet under the sun, and I thought I knew it all about nutrition and which foods were supposedly 'bad' for weight loss. But the truth is, I had no idea. This book taught me that there aren't any forbidden foods, and you can eat pretty much anything as long as you're mindful of portion sizes and balance. I even learned how to eat balanced meals on the go, whether I'm at home, at a restaurant, or even camping and grilling up some burgers!
I no longer deprive myself of the occasional treat, and I'm happy to enjoy my favorite foods - like potatoes - as long as I'm eating them in moderation. And you know what? I'm actually losing weight! I'm finally seeing progress without having to do any crazy workouts or follow a super restrictive diet. In the first month, I lost 3.5 kg and was amazed to see that the weight wasn't coming back. Now, two months in, I've lost another 2 kg, for a total of 5.5 kg. I'm now down to 53.5 kg, which is a result I've achieved in just 1.5 months. It's been easy and painless, and I'm not just seeing progress on the scale - I'm also noticing it in the mirror and in my clothes.
I highly recommend reading this book - it's affordable and will open your eyes to a lot of things. For me, this book was a game-changer, a turning point that's finally starting to help me become a healthier, happier version of myself.
That's all from me - thanks for reading!
My Rating: 5/5 Stars
I'm so glad I took the time to read this book and make the changes that Maxim Kuznetsov recommends. It's been a game-changer for me, and I'm confident that it can be for you too.
One of the things that really resonated with me was the concept of 'nutrition correction.' It's not just about cutting out certain foods or following a specific diet - it's about making sustainable changes to the way you eat and live. And that's exactly what this book teaches you how to do.
Overall, I would highly recommend this book to anyone who's struggling with weight loss or just wants to make some positive changes to their lifestyle. It's a must-read for anyone who's looking for a sustainable and healthy approach to weight loss.
Thanks again for reading, and I hope you find this review helpful!
