Hey there, fellow parents!
I'm sharing my thoughts on the demi-season boots from the Honey Girl line by Kari, which I've purchased multiple times for my daughter.
Last year, I bought the same sandals for her, and this year I got the same ones, but in a bigger size.
However, when it comes to sneakers and demi-season boots, I have to say I'm a bit disappointed.
One thing that really caught me off guard is how quickly these adorable boots can look worn out after just a week.
Especially if they're light-colored! I don't get why the manufacturer didn't think to add some extra protection to the toes or cover them up for kids who inevitably kick them.
It's just ridiculous that new boots can be ruined in just a few days.
I ordered a bunch of shoes from this brand for my daughter, and she tried them all on and chose these ones.
My daughter is a bit of a picky eater, but when it comes to clothes and shoes, she's super particular. Recently, she said she didn't like a coat I got her, and she's only 3 years old!
So, I ended up ordering multiple pairs of shoes from this brand to find the ones she liked.
Now, I know what you're thinking: you can buy a pair of shoes for 5,000 rubles, but I've learned that even expensive kids' items can be low-quality.
I had a similar experience with Loomknits. A pricey bodysuit for my baby fell apart and developed pilling after just a few months, and an expensive blanket stretched out in just a few days.
So, it's pointless to spend a lot of money on something that will just disappoint you.
And let's be real, I don't have an endless budget for every item.
I mean, my daughter has a pair of Petite Bateau tights that seem to last forever, but they're over 2,000 rubles! I can only imagine how much a pair of perfect boots would cost.
Okay, let's move on to the description of our adorable boots and show you the problem areas.
Here they are, after a few months of occasional wear:
When I bought the boots, they cost 1,830 rubles.
Now, they're around 1,750 rubles.
Recently, I saw that they were selling for around 1,500 rubles.
The quality of this brand's shoes is just not very durable.
The letters and logos fade quickly, and the boots deform quite fast...
We wore them for a few months, but not regularly.
Autumn was still pretty warm.
And look at these noses...

I mean, it's the same old problem with kids' shoes, why do they have such thin eco-leather?
And now my kid's walking around like a slob...
\xa0
They're not the easiest to put on either, Raya's always struggling to get her feet in and ends up creasing the back.
\xa0
But at least the Velcro's there, that makes it a bit easier for her to manage.
\xa0
They look pretty good overall, my kid's legs stay warm (as long as it's not freezing), and they go with jeans, tracksuits, and leggings...
\xa0
But if it's a tracksuit, you'll definitely need those stripes.
\xa0
Otherwise, everything just rides up.
Today, Raya jumped in a puddle and soaked my boots.
So I went to work with wet feet, but Raya's fine, the boots didn't leak.
\xa0
They looked great while they were new...
\xa0
They're perfect for scooters, playgrounds, running around, and jumping...
I've got to say, the noses are a real letdown. And the deformed heel, which is already looking like an accordion.
By the end of autumn, they'll probably be nothing more than a pile of trash.
I wouldn't dare give these shoes to someone less fortunate, even if they're only a few months old - it's just not right.
Remember when kids would wear hand-me-downs from their siblings for years?...Or from their parents, for that matter?
\xa0
Overall, these shoes are pretty decent for their price (around 1700 rubles). By today's standards, they're actually not bad at all.
If you're looking for something more durable, I'd say a pair like this would cost around 6,000 rubles, easy. And what's the point of spending that kind of money on shoes that'll be too small by spring?
But can't a kid just enjoy a good pair of shoes for one autumn, at least?
\xa0
The good news is that my kid stayed warm and dry, and the shoes didn't leak in the first puddle. They look pretty stylish, too.
So, if you like them, I'd recommend them, but be warned about their weaknesses.
That's why I'm taking off a star.
\xa0
Four stars.
They'll get you through one autumn.

Not all expensive kids' stuff is good. I was surprised, but I'm still not happy with the bodysuit from Loomknits. Check out the flaws and why I wouldn't recommend it.
