I picked up this adorable two-piece summer set - a t-shirt and shorts for my little one from My Goroshinka back in the dead of winter.
Summer set for a boyThis outfit was a total hit with my kid's preschool crew. I snagged it at Detsky Mir, and it's been a staple in our summer wardrobe.
My Goroshinka review
My Goroshinka brand reviewWhen shopping for summer gear, I always look for lightweight, breathable fabrics that'll keep my kid cool and comfy. Unfortunately, the t-shirt fabric in this set is a bit of a letdown - it's thick and feels more like a mix of cotton and synthetic materials, even though the label says it's 100% cotton.

Summer set for two years oldStill, I gotta give props to Baby Go - their yellow t-shirt on the right has a fabric that's lightyears ahead in terms of quality and feel. My Goroshinka t-shirt is a bit of a different story - the fabric is thicker, as you can see in the photo, which was taken right after washing.
Comparison of children's t-shirtsThe t-shirt itself is pretty cute, with a fun dinosaur print and a cheerful slogan. Plus, the buttons at the neckline are a total win - they make it super easy to put on and take off, and the collar looks neat and tidy.
Beautiful t-shirt with dinosaursOne thing that's worth mentioning is that there are no slogans on the back, but the dinosaur print repeats, which is kinda nice.
Cotton T-ShirtThe colors on this outfit are super vibrant, and the print hasn't faded or bled after multiple washes. I personally prefer to hand-wash this t-shirt until it's a bit worn out and has no stains. The photo shows the label after washing - it's still in place.
T-Shirt with a 2-year-old's messageThis t-shirt hasn't shrunk, but it has lost some shape after multiple washes. The model is super comfy, and the t-shirt fits my 86 cm tall kid well without being too short (this outfit is designed for a 92 cm tall child).
My kid feels super comfortable in the t-shirt, and it doesn't restrict their movements at all. I'd say the t-shirt runs a bit small, though - the shorts, on the other hand, fit true to size.
The buttons at the neckline are a total game-changer, making it super easy to put on and take off, and the collar looks neat and tidy.
T-Shirt with buttonsAll the buttons work perfectly, and the fabric around the buttons hasn't torn at all.
T-Shirt with zippersI'm also super stoked about the shorts from this set - they're lightweight, without any unnecessary details, the fabric is softer than the t-shirt's, and it feels more like cotton.
Comfy shorts for a toddler Shorts for a 2-year-old Size 92 shortsThese shorts are super comfy, and the elastic waistband doesn't dig into their tummy - my little one isn't exactly lean in the midsection. Since the outfit is a size larger, the shorts fit comfortably (over a diaper) and are quite long. Unlike the shirt, they don't run small.
Cotton shorts for summerThe stitching on this outfit is top-notch - the seams are straight, and there are no loose threads.
Hemp shorts Sleeves on a toddler's shirtHowever, I do wish the shorts were a bit more in sync with the shirt in terms of sizing. Also, the fabric on the shirt is not as nice as the one on Baby Go.
The shorts are worn frequently by the baby because they're super comfy for daycare, and the color matches all our shirts. We've worn the whole outfit many times. During wear, the fabric has performed well - no pilling, no tears, no seam separation. The material is easy to wash, and I was able to remove stains manually.
I'd say this outfit is decent. It's comfy, lightweight, and perfect for daycare (it's hot due to the heating system). We'll continue wearing it in the summer.
