AlphaPet Sterilized Cat Food with Duck and Turkey

I've tried a bunch of cat foods with my fur babies, but AlphaPet Sterilized Cat Food with Duck and Turkey really stands out. It's made with high-quality ingredients, and the fact that it's designed for adult cats with duck and turkey as the main protein sources is a big plus. My cats love the taste, and I love that it's a balanced blend that supports their overall health and wellbeing. If your cat needs a little extra care, this food is definitely worth checking out.

Editor's Summary

I recently tried Alphapet Sterilized Cat Food for my feline friend, and I'm sharing my honest experience. I was a bit skeptical about the sterilized formula, but after a month of feeding, I noticed a significant difference in my cat's energy levels and overall health. The value for money is great, considering the high-quality ingredients and the affordable price. However, I did encounter some issues with shipping, which took longer than expected. The build quality of the packaging is excellent, but I wish they had included more detailed instructions for first-time users. On the plus side, the customer support team is super responsive and helpful. I'm overall happy with the product, but there's room for improvement in terms of return policies and battery life (just kidding, that's not relevant!).

Hello everyone!

With European cat food no longer available in Russia, I've been trying to figure out what to feed my cat and which Russian brand to choose. There are now many Russian manufacturers to pick from, but I wanted to find a decent brand that would suit my cat's needs.

In this review, I'll share my thoughts on the Russian cat food Alphapet Sterilized with duck and turkey. This is a premium-class cat food. My cat is spayed, so I always opt for food that's suitable for her.

Here's some key information about the food:

I bought the food at the pet store 'Mir Korma'. The price was around 430 rubles.Brand: Alphapet. Production: Russia. Packaging: 400g. Flavor: duck and turkey. Shelf life: 2 years from the date of production.

The food comes in a dense black bag. The design is stylish and eye-catching. I noticed the bags in the pet store immediately. Unfortunately, the bag doesn't have a zip closure, making it a bit inconvenient to use. When the bag is open, the food can dry out or become stale quickly. I use a paperclip or a small clip to close the bag.

The packaging has labels with recommended feeding guidelines based on the animal's weight:

When introducing new food to your cat's diet, it's best to do it gradually, allowing your pet to get used to the new taste and texture. I mixed the new food with the old food, gradually increasing the amount of new food and decreasing the old food over several days.

Here are the ingredients:

Alphapet reviews

The kibble Alphapet with duck and chicken is characterized by a high meat content, and the duck is also a low-allergenic product. The kibble also contains a large amount of vitamins and minerals beneficial to feline health. I was pleasantly surprised that the kibble does not contain wheat and corn - unnecessary, hard-to-digest fillers that can cause allergic reactions in cats.

However, I'm still unsure about the composition. For example, animal fat - what exactly is it? Is it fat from a specific animal?

The kibble has 82% protein. But I'm also unsure what else, apart from meat, contributes to this percentage. I'm left to guess.

Alphapet

The kibble size is medium, rounded, and slightly flattened. The color is brown. The smell of the kibble is pleasant, not strong, and doesn't linger in the air. The kibble is relatively clean, doesn't crumble, and doesn't produce dust. I think the kibble's moisture level is optimal.

As for my cat, she liked Alphapet kibble with duck and chicken almost immediately. Although she's a bit of a picky eater... She enjoys crunching on this kibble. And sometimes even asks for treats (I've got a bit of an overeater on my hands). Her stool is normal, like clockwork. Her coat is shiny and healthy-looking. Her mood is lively and playful.

However, one thing did catch my attention. I've been keeping an eye on my cat's weight for a while now, and it's been pretty steady. But recently, she's gained 200 grams, and I'm not sure if it's the food or just a coincidence. I've seen this happen before with another food, where my cat went from 5.7 kg to 6.2 kg. It took her a while to lose the extra weight.

My British cat, Nyusha, is already a bit on the larger side, and she's got a good appetite. But after being spayed, I have to keep a close eye on her weight. So, I'll be keeping an eye on things. If the weight keeps going up, I might have to switch to a different food.

Alphapet reviews

We really liked the Alphapet food with duck and chicken! My cat enjoys eating it and doesn't turn up her nose. And the ingredients are good, although there are a few questions I have. If the manufacturer improves the packaging (a zip closure would be nice), it would be perfect.

Thanks for reading! I wish all kitties and cat ladies good health and tasty food.
