This anti-inflammatory, pain relief, and fever reducer from Neoterica is a go-to for when you're feeling under the weather. It's designed to tackle inflammation, ease pain, and bring down your temperature. I've found it to be a reliable option for managing discomfort and getting back to normal - it's especially great for when you've got a long day ahead and can't afford to be slowed down. My Dog's Joint Issues: A Personal Story

summarizeEditor's Summary

My dog Jessika's been dealing with joint issues for a while now. I've tried a bunch of different things to help her feel more comfortable, but nothing seemed to really work until I started giving her Vetoprophin. I was skeptical at first, but after a week or so, I noticed a pretty big difference. She was moving around way more easily and didn't seem to be in as much pain. I'm not saying it's a miracle cure or anything, but it's definitely helped her a lot. I've been giving it to her for a few months now, and I'm really happy with the results. Of course, every dog is different, so I'm not sure if it'll work for yours, but it's definitely worth a shot if you're looking for something to help with joint issues.

I've got to say, I love my dog more than most people do. As she's getting older, joint issues start to kick in, and I'm pretty sure she's not alone in that. When the first signs of trouble appeared back in 2021, we took her to the vet for a check-up, and the staff there are top-notch.
My dog, Jessica, has arthritis, which means it's not curable, but we need to keep her joints healthy. We've tried so many different meds, some didn't work at all, others had nasty side effects, but then we found an anti-inflammatory, pain-relieving, and fever-reducing medication that actually worked - Previcox. It's not a miracle cure, but her digestive system took a hit...
Then we were thrilled when, after trial and error, we finally found the perfect solution - Trocoxil. But then the sanctions kicked in, and the med was no longer available. Now you can order it with delivery from abroad, but the price is outrageous - 2 tablets for 18-20 thousand rubles.
It's not easy to find a suitable alternative, and there's no clear effect.
In March, Jessica finished a course of Vetoprofen. It did help a bit, but she's still struggling to walk, and she's constantly sitting and lying down.
I ordered the meds on Yandex Market, and delivery took almost a week.
The price was 799 rubles (without discount, it was 1233 rubles).
Who is this med for?
Vetoprofen tablets are used to treat dogs and cats with arthritis and joint pain, as well as post-operative trauma, to alleviate pain.
The pack contains 10 tablets, and the recommended course is 3-5 days, depending on the condition. Our vet prescribed Jessica to take all 10 tablets in one go.The dosage is 30 mg, which is suitable for medium and large dogs.
There's also a version for smaller breeds, with a dosage of just 5 mg.
Vetoprofen -
is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory med for cats and dogs, in tablet form.
The active ingredient is
ketoprofen.
It's not a widely used med, and the indications are mostly focused on pain relief.Indications for use:
arthritis and joint paintrauma of various originspost-operative recoverypain reliefThe expiration date is normal - until August 2026.
By the way, I've noticed that often, meds are sold at a discount when they're near expiration.
Effectiveness of the drug - When administered orally, the maximum concentration of ketoprofen in the blood plasma is already reached within 30 minutes.
Veterinary instructions for the use of the Vetoprofen drug.
Very important information that the drug belongs to class 3 danger, which is moderate danger to the body, according to GOST 12.1.007.
Instructions are standard, i.e., everything is sequential and divided into sections.General information.
Pharmacological properties.
Method of application.
Vetoprofen can be purchased without a prescription, otherwise it would not be available for online ordering. The drug is domestic, production is located in the settlement of Tomilino, Lyubertsy district, Moscow region.Manufacturer: AO "NPF "Ecoprom".
In the box, there were two blisters with cells, each blister had 5 tablets. Each blister has information: drug name, dosage, purpose, and expiration date.
Form of application - tablets.Such a format (in solid form) facilitates the treatment process, and the beef aroma ensures trouble-free feeding.
The tablet is quite large, without a shell, there's a risk.
I've never been into "tormenting" animals and forcing them to swallow or holding them back to make them swallow the tablet. I mean, it's a big tablet, and it's dry...
It's written that it has a beef aroma and the dog will enjoy eating it.
I sniffed it, and it smells like something similar to dry dog food, the tablet tastes bitter, so the dog won't eat it voluntarily.
Dosage and frequency of administration - Vetoprofen is administered to animals orally individually once a day during feeding in a dose of 1 tablet per 30 kg of animal body weight.
Recommended course of treatment -
Depending on the animal's condition, it ranges from 3 to 5 days and is determined by the treating veterinarian.
I have to admit, I got a bit creative with giving Jessika the Vetoprophin. I cut the tablet in half and hid it in sausages, but even that was a challenge – Jessica's not a huge fan of sausages, and I'd have loved to give her a fish head with some gravy...
I gave Jessika Vetoprophin for ten days.Of course, I couldn't just ask her how she felt, but it seemed like she was more energetic, and we were able to walk a bit further on our walks. She also seemed to be lying down less often, and...
It was noticeable that she was moving a bit more easily after taking Vetoprophin.
Jessica always lies on her right side, and she has a lipoma under her left rear leg – but we're not getting that removed, as the vet says it could be a risk to her heart, and I'm already giving her a heart medication – Vetinary medication GIGI PimoPET.Even when we're waiting for the elevator, she still lies down...And she can even snooze on the couch like this – and she really does sleep like this, snoring away...The downsides of Vetoprophin:
- I didn't see a huge improvement in her condition
- the tablet tastes bitter.
The upsides:
+ no side effects (and Jessica's an allergic, so that's a big deal – she's on apokvael from May to mid-October, and we buy 100 tablets of Vetoprophin for 20,000 rubles)
+ Jessika does seem to be moving a bit easier after taking Vetoprophin.
Nonspecific anti-inflammatory medication Vetoprophin – I'd give it 4 stars. When your joints are aching, it's nice to have a medication like this on hand.
I've also got some medications that really helped with skin issues – Jessika had pyoderma, and the diagnosis was:
Antibiotic KRKA Kladaxa for dogs and cats
Antiseptic wound-healing medication Apisan Ranosan Powder
Skin disease treatment Ceva Exekan
Wishing you all good health, and to your pets as well.
