I'm so glad I got this book for my kid - it's become their new favorite. With its bright colors and engaging illustrations, it's hard to put down. We've only had the 'Music Stencils: Bop-Bop - That's How I Talk' book from Azbukvarik for a short while, but my kid absolutely adores it.
This book tells the story of a racing car that's speeding to a showcase of big and useful machines.
The little one not only learns how the car will get to the exhibition, but also gets to hear the sounds of the machines it meets along the way.
The car itself sings a little tune that my son loves to sing along to. All you have to do is press the melody button and it starts singing: 'Beep-beep-beep, that's what I say! Beep-beep-beep, I love speed!'
On the first page, you can also hear the sound of a helicopter. The text is concise, and that's great! There's no time to listen, you have to move on to the next page. Each page is full of interesting details and new words.
On the second page, a locomotive appears, and you can also hear its sound. There are even more types of transportation on this page, such as a scooter, a combine harvester, and so on.
Now you can hear the sound of a lorry.
And another fun addition - the sound of a boat horn!
And finally, the last page - the exhibition that all the machines were racing to! And all the winners!) It's so cute!
This book also gives you the opportunity to draw like a stencil! Just place a sheet of paper and draw along the lines! One thing that really stood out to me about this book is how sturdy the cover is. The pages are made of thick cardboard, which is great for little hands. The colors used in the book are mostly basic ones like red, green, and yellow, which makes it easy to learn and replicate them.Every product has its downsides, right? Even a great one like this. The speaker is on the back of the book, and the sound comes out in two directions: from the back and from the last page inside the book. So, if you press the buttons at the beginning, it's hard to hear them.
The sound buttons are a bit stiff, and some kids might struggle to press them. You need to aim right for the middle. My son has gotten the hang of it now, but at first, I had to help him out.
I've been looking for books that are both fun and educational for my kid. This one definitely fits the bill. The storyline is engaging, and the sound effects add an extra layer of excitement. Plus, the stencils at the end are a great way to encourage creativity.
The dimensions are 24.6 x 24.6 cm, and it's designed for kids from 2 to 4 years old.
I checked the prices online, and the cheapest one I found was 187 rubles. I paid 260 rubles, and the most expensive one was 357 rubles. So, you can get it pretty affordably if you want to.
I'm always on the lookout for great books for my little one. We have a few editions of the Azbukvarik, and I've already shared one of them on the site. This one is called 'Music Stencils: Bop-Bop - That's How I Talk', and if you're interested, you can check it out here. It's another great development from Azbukvarik.
Thanks for reading!
