I'd been curious about the brand Mone for years, and I finally got to try out their products. I'm excited to share my thoughts on the Volume Flex Shampoo, specifically designed for fine, dull, and weak hair.
Where to buy and how much? You can find Mone products in larger cosmetics stores or beauty salons that partner with this brand. Prices vary, but I remember paying around 1120 rubles for the shampoo.
Packaging. The packaging starts with the bottle itself, which has a gorgeous blue-green hue (some people call it 'Tiffany blue') and an eye-catching design.
Volume Flex Shampoo packagingThe unique thing about this bottle is that half of it's covered in these round, convex circles – let's call them 'bumps.' They not only make the packaging more visually appealing but also give it a sense of security when you hold it in your hand.
The back of the bottle has a lot of information about the product, including details about the manufacturer.
Twist-Off Cap is super convenient. I was able to travel with my shampoo for three flights without any issues, so I'm really impressed with the packaging's reliability. My shampoo didn't leak or open during transit.
Overall, I like the format of this product - the compact bottle is perfect for home use. If you really want to take it on the go, it's doable, but personally, I prefer smaller containers.Dosage ControlIn terms of dosage control, the same flip-top mechanism comes into play. Press the button to access a small opening that dispenses the shampoo texture. The design is simple and easy to use, making it very convenient.
The dosage control works great with the texture provided, allowing us to visually control the amount of shampoo dispensed without overdoing it.About the ProductVolume: 300 ml
Manufacturer: This product was designed in Greece, but the brand is Russian (I'm still unsure where it's actually made).
I'd heard great things about the Mone brand before, but I didn't know much about the company itself. Turns out, it's a Russian brand that specializes in professional hair care products.
About the brand:
Mone is a professional hair care brand that develops products in European labs. They're a Russian company that's patented innovative active complexes and uses natural ingredients in their production...
Now, let's talk about the Volume Flex Shampoo. The product is designed for people with fine hair, and it promises to gently clean without weighing your locks down – which was a major selling point for me.
About the product:
This shampoo is specifically developed for professional use, and it gently cleanses, forming a soft, active foam that doesn't weigh your hair down. It also provides gentle conditioning and extra volume, thanks to the natural flexibility of your hair. It adds life, softness, and lightness to your hair.
Texture and consistency. To be honest, I'd describe the Volume Flex Shampoo as a pretty pleasant but slightly thinner product than I'm used to.
Texture and Consistency of Volume Flex Shampoo I have to say, this shampoo spreads like a dream on my palm, so I try to apply it to my hair quickly before it drips everywhere. It's light, but at the same time, it's got a nice, rich feel to it. The color is a bit muted, with a hint of pearlescence - something I've come to expect from shampoos. The texture is uniform and smooth, with no visible particles.Scents The scent is a pleasant, cosmetic fragrance with a floral-fruity note. It's not new to me, and I'm pretty sure I've smelled it before in another shampoo. Either way, the fragrance is light and unobtrusive. It's noticeable while I'm washing my hair, which actually lifts my mood - I love fragrances in cosmetics, especially when it comes to hair products. Afterward, I don't notice any lingering scents on my hair.
Ingredients The ingredient list can be found on the bottle itself or on the manufacturer's website. I've included both lists below, but I'm no expert when it comes to analyzing ingredients, so I'll leave it up to you to decide.
Product CompositionComposition:Aqua, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, PEG-4 Rapeseedamide, Decyl Glucoside, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Sodium Chloride, Glycereth-2 Cocoate, Glycol Distearate, Panthenol, Polyquaternium-22, Polyquaternium-39, Hydrolysed Wheat Proteins, Hydrolysed Wheat Starch, Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Tocopheryl Acetate, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Linoleic Acid, Citric Acid, Tetrasodium EDTA, DMDM Hydantoin, Parfum, Hexyl Cinnamal, Amyl Cinnamal.
I've got to say, the manufacturer really highlights a few key components - something I always pay attention to. In the case of the Volume Flex Shampoo, we're talking about a blend of various vitamins and some oils, which you can read more about below.
From the manufacturer:
Special ingredients: Vitamin complex: E, C, F, well-known for its moisturizing, antioxidant, and smoothing properties.
Contains wheat proteins and oligosaccharides, a combination that maintains moisture levels and conditions hair.
pH: 6.0
What type of hair is this product for?The manufacturer already gives a clear indication on the packaging of the type of hair this product is suitable for - namely, fine, dull, and weak hair.
From the manufacturer:
Hair type: normal, fine.
I've got naturally thin and heavy hair, but it's not limp or lifeless because I take good care of it. I just want more volume, you know?
Application and hair effect.I use this shampoo just like any other – I apply it to my damp hair, focusing on my scalp. I massage it in with gentle circular motions to get the product evenly distributed.
Application Volume Flex Shampoo is pretty straightforward, but with its light texture and watery consistency, I sometimes find myself wanting to add a bit more because I don't feel like I've used enough. Of course, after getting used to it over time, I've gotten more comfortable with the texture, but initially, I did tend to add a bit more product to the original amount.
It foams up well, but it's not that rich, fluffy foam I'm used to – it's more of a light, airy sort of lather. I'd even call it a bit watery. That's probably due to the composition of Volume Flex Shampoo. So, if you're someone who loves a rich, airy foam, you might be a bit disappointed. But for me, it's just fine.
During use, I didn't notice any unpleasant sensations or reactions to the product. What I did notice was the pleasant scent, which makes the whole hair-washing experience a bit more enjoyable.
Rinses out easily, leaving no residue on my hair or scalp, even with just a little warm water. No fuss whatsoever.
My hair after washing with Volume Flex ShampooAnd the feel right after washing? My hair's squeaky clean, not tangly at all. I'm also happy to report that there's no annoying squeakiness like some shampoos can leave behind. It's just a clean, fresh feel without any of the bad stuff.Next, I usually follow up with conditioner (I did end up buying the matching conditioner, by the way), but I decided to leave it out for this review to see my hair in its purest state after using Volume Flex Shampoo alone.
Hair after using Volume Flex ShampooHonestly, my hair looks amazing after washing with Volume Flex Shampoo. It feels soft, silky, and well-groomed to the touch. My hand glides right over it without any tangles or knots. Of course, a comprehensive hair care routine is key, but based on my experience with various shampoos, this one has really impressed me – my hair looks healthy, moisturized, and even a bit more voluminous. Volume Flex Shampoo does an excellent job of cleaning my hair, removing all sorts of impurities.
As for volume, I'll be honest, I don't feel like Volume Flex Shampoo has had a significant impact on it. The big plus is that the shampoo doesn't weigh my hair down, which is great. However, it doesn't seem to add any extra volume (at least, not on my hair). I'm not counting that as a con, though – everyone's hair is different. I'm happy that Volume Flex Shampoo doesn't strip my hair of its natural volume, which is already a big plus.
My hair after using Volume Flex Shampoo I've been using Volume Flex Shampoo for a while now, and I'm happy to report that it doesn't seem to affect the speed at which my hair gets dirty. I wash my hair either daily or every other day, depending on how I feel, and I haven't noticed any difference in how quickly it gets grimy.Value for money. As for the cost, I'd say it's average, but it really depends on your hair type, length, and how much you use. If you're used to applying a lot of product to get the right consistency, be prepared for a faster depletion rate. The texture is pretty liquidy, so it's easy to use up quickly. Compared to other shampoos I've tried, I'd say it's right in the middle of the pack.
Overall impressions.Looking back at my experience with Volume Flex Shampoo, I'm impressed with the following:
I've gotta say, the texture of this product is really nice, even if it's a bit more liquidy than most shampoos I've used lately. Still, it spreads really easily through my hair. This shampoo does a great job of cleaning my hair and scalp, getting rid of all the dirt and grime. After using this product, my hair looks amazing - it's got a healthy shine, it's soft and silky, and it's really easy to comb through without any tangles. The formula is really gentle on my hair and scalp, too - I haven't experienced any irritation or dryness. The light, fruity scent is a nice bonus - it's actually really pleasant to use a shampoo with a smell like this. This product doesn't weigh my hair down, which is a big plus for me since I've got thin and heavy hair.Using this shampoo doesn't seem to affect how quickly my hair gets dirty, so it stays looking clean and fresh for a long time. To be honest, I don't think Volume Flex Shampoo has any major downsides - it's just that you need to get used to its texture and consistency (and, I guess, that's part of the formula too). You need to get used to it so you don't end up using it too much. Otherwise, I didn't notice any unpleasant sensations or reactions. The Bottom Line. I'd say that Volume Flex Shampoo is a solid, everyday shampoo that doesn't promise the world but gets the job done. It doesn't work any miracles with my hair, but it cleans and helps maintain their health and nice appearance - and that's no small thing.
I'd definitely consider buying this shampoo again. In my book, it's a high-quality product that deserves a spot on your bathroom shelf. So, I'm happy to give it my thumbs up.
