I'm so used to seeing sales in our network stores, one ends and another begins. I've lost count of how many times we've been offered discounts on everything from glasses to skillets, baking molds, knives, toys, and more. Just when the Minion sale ended, the Stapler sale started, and my daughter was already eyeing them.
Today, I want to share and show you our Minion haul from 'Magnet.' The sticker giveaway ended on September 22nd, the sale started on June 3rd, and you could buy the item on sale until September 29th, but they extended it until October 6th. I'm not sure if it's the same in other cities.
I'm sure you've all walked past the counter with the yellow guys before. And chances are, you've got one or more Minions at home, taking up their rightful spot.
This time, I noticed the sale was ending, and there were plenty of Minions left on the counter because, in my opinion, the price for the toy is a bit steep, even on sale. Many people will agree with me. However, if you look at it from the perspective that this is an original toy, it's not that expensive. That's not the case with previous sales, where the item was sold out everywhere, and people were running from store to store, trying to find the on-sale item and couldn't exchange their stickers. Eventually, they would bring it to a specific store.
I've got a kid who doesn't really play with some toys, but still asks for them. I was planning to buy one for my daughter. As it turned out, we ended up with a whole Minion gang.

Check out how cute they are! They're gorgeous! It's not just the kids who love them, but adults too, so my mom couldn't resist buying a whole bunch for her granddaughter. In the end, we have 6 of them! I bought only one, and the rest were bought by my mom.
First to join our family was Bob (squish).
From the back.
Then came Tim-carrot.
Next up was Kevin-banana.
Then there's Tommy Pineapple.
The fifth minion in our collection is Bob Kung Fu (squish) with nunchucks.
How cute is that?
And lastly, there's Bob Strawberry.
One-eyed Stuart and Carl didn't quite win over our little one, so we have all minions with two eyes.
You can get these guys by collecting 20 stickers and trading them in for a toy with a discount of up to 70%. That's 299 rubles. And here's what the empty booklet looks like.

Our cashier, a kind woman, gave us a sticker, which we used to trade in the booklet for Yellow Comrade.
You can also collect the necessary number of stickers faster by buying products that sponsor us - you can get additional stickers at the checkout.
If you buy without stickers, they cost between 799 and 999 rubles (note the price isn't 1000 rubles, but 999r). What a steal! Or you can accumulate 50 digital stickers using our special bonus card at Magnit. Their number is displayed on the receipt.
Alternatively, you can buy a minion with a discount of up to 85% for 149 rubles. But we chose the first option.
We ended up with 10 of these guys: 6 tall minions - fresh and 4 small, spherical minions - squish.
By the way, we only have three Bob variants: Bob - Strawberry (fresh), plain Bob (squish), and Bob Kung Fu (also squish). They all have different eye colors, but it's the same Bob in different disguises.
I love the fresh Minions - they're basically soft and cuddly toys, and the squishies are great stress-relievers. When you squeeze them, they quickly snap back into shape.

INFORMATION FROM THE MANUFACTURER.
The information is written in small print on the packaging - a little booklet.
Manufacturer: "Anhui Danu Toy Co., Ltd."
These toys are made in China.
There's also some information - a warning in different languages. Plus, there's some info about washing them. I think it's a big plus that they can be washed, you never know what might happen to them. My daughter's getting older, but younger kids might spill something on them or get them dirty somehow. 😳
These toys are designed for kids from 0+.

PACKAGING.
These toys aren't even wrapped in anything. I think, for hygiene reasons, they should at least have a transparent bag. Especially with COVID-19 everywhere, and masks being back in fashion again. Tomorrow, parents are supposed to come to school with masks, bring their kids in masks, and take their temperature in the mornings. And who knows, maybe we'll be back to self-isolation again soon. Sorry for the slight tangent.
Whoever touches these toys, wherever they fall, and on what kind of floors - it's a worry. And little kids put everything in their mouths... Nobody seems to mind. At least, they can be washed. 😌
I'm not too worried about bacteria, since I have Universal antibacterial agent from Faberlic and Disinfectant from Estellar to deal with them.

PRICE.
As I mentioned earlier, it's 799 (for squishies) - 999 (for fresh Minions) rubles without stickers.
With 20 stickers - 299 rubles (with a 70% discount).
With 50 digital stickers via the "Magnit" loyalty card - 149 rubles.
I have to say, the prices are quite steep.
MINION TOY COMPOSITION.
The Minions are made of 100% polyester, while the Squishies are a combination of polyester (top material) and foam (filling).
WHAT I LIKED / DIDN'T LIKE.
🍁 I have to say, the toys themselves are a hit. They're bright, colorful, and almost identical to the cartoon originals - I'm talking about the fresh ones, of course. They look just like themselves.
🍁 I also liked the fact that they're of good quality, with neat and sturdy seams. None of the toys fell apart, and nothing came loose.
🍁 I have to admit, I enjoyed the process of applying the stickers - it's almost like a mini game, and it's an extra expense, but what's the fun without it? 🙄.
🍁 It's also great that they're washable.
🍁 You can even squeeze the Minion-Squishy to relieve stress.
🍁 Suitable for children aged 0+.
🍁 There's no unpleasant or foreign smell.
Now, let's talk about what didn't quite hit the mark.
👎 It's a bit pricey, even with a 70% discount. For 149 rubles, it's okay, but the assembly process is quite long - we'd have barely finished one or two Minions.
👎 There's no packaging, and that's not exactly hygienic. However, with all the antiseptic products available, it's not a major issue.
That's about it for the negatives.
Despite them, I'd give it 5 stars with a minus - or rather, 5 ⭐ without considering the minus. 😊
